People in Japan are so averse to romantic relationships that the country's media even has a name for it: sekkusu shinai shokogun, or "celibacy syndrome," according to a widely circulated Guardian story on the country's low rates of marriage, childbearing and even sex.

sounds like you stay in the financial district, walled off from the scum of the city
which means you’re blissfully unaware of the goings on over at the folsom street fair ... activities the left wants to inflict on the rest of us

You must not know ANYTHING about the city if you think that people live in the Financial District. It's full of businesses, banks, financial institutions and some hotels.
I live up on Mount Sutro, surrounded by trees. The Folsom Street Fair is simply something I avoid. However, you might want to know that ALL the major cities of this country and OTHER countries in Europe have the same kind of fair for homosexuals and deviants. That kind of behavior isn't found ONLY in San Francisco. Check out New York, Chicago and the rest of the larger urban areas, both here and abroad.

The Bay Area is very expensive to live in. Not all homosexuals have that kind of money.

South of Market is all yuppie-dot.com folks. They live in all those expensive lofts. The financial district is all office. Chinatown is all Chinese. The Marina district is all VERY, very expensive homes, as is Pacific Heights. All west of Twin Peaks, that is, HALF the city, is residential. The Castro District, where so many homosexuals live, is fast losing its homosexual population, as straight white couples with children, who work in the dot.com industry and financial district, have taken over.

You haven't been in San Francisco for a while, have you? Homosexuals now are "accepted" and have MOVED out of the city and bay area into the rest of the state and country. I don't suppose you care to think beyond your own rage and rancor, but it's true. I think their moving away is a good thing for The City.

We've lost our African-American population too. The City is too expensive for them as well. That population has moved to the east bay where prices are lower. The Chinese have taken their place, even in Hunter's Point. It is so odd to see the once solidly-black neighborhood almost all Chinese now.

Money drives the real estate industry, not race, creed or sexual preference. But, then, you know that.

But is it normal, natural, marital, procreative sex?

My impression is that they are overrun by all the useless pointless fruitless sorts of sex.

So true. I know that God's judgment very often takes the form of His letting us experience the natural and logical consequences of our actions (personally, and in our family, our society and our nation.)

Over the decades, we have been storing up natural and logical consequences of blood-hurricane proportions. I feel like I can face it, God strengthening me, and "though He slay me, yet will I trust Him" ---but I feel sorry for my children and future grandchilden.

I've been getting in trouble with my mouth since the second grade. I got a "D" in deportment for talking too much..JUST seven years old. :o)
Nice to know that I'm still the same ole blabber/big mouth.

In the job I just retired from (27+ years at a P.C. community college) I ALWAYS had to keep my big fat mouth shut...it was obligatory in a large school. We had 64 people JUST in our own department. So, I did keep my mouth shut. As my dad told me: Do your job and keep your mouth shut.

THIS site is for sounding out about things. What a great site. Here I get to say what I think. Nice place, don't you think? I've been coming here for YEARS and YEARS.

So, have you! But you have NEVER been a big mouth. That's my bailiwick.

I don't think I ever heard her talk about her family, but yeah, Japanese men were not on her good list.

Her name was Chie, and since we're talking about sexual things, that's weird that you would assume that about her family.

The real problem with fuzoku is that many Japanese men DON’T see it as cheating EVEN IF THEY’RE MARRIED. It’s partially because prostitution was legal before WWII, but also because the yakuza runs it and pays the government and police for the privilege.

The Japaense MOB runs the prostitution business?
NO! I am shocked, just shocked!

You mean all those little girls and grown women don't get to keep the money they earn? No, I don't believe it!!
SURELY, pimp-san is like their daddy, their very own sugah-daddy. What a wonderful life they must have.

I wonder what the life span is for a hooker.

I don't think I ever heard glowing reports on Japanese marriages...unless the Japanese were born and bred OUTSIDE of Japan, OUTSIDE of Asia.

Not only is it prostitution but the age of consent is about 12 and possession of child pornography is not illegal in Tokyo.

Pervert Land.

I guess all the bad stuff I heard from all the Japanese women I've known (only about a dozen) was a lie.

Wife beating may be against the law but a wife has to report it. From what I heard, Japanese wives DON'T report it. Neither do her relatives.

Men who beat wives here will get reported by wives, in-laws and neighbors.

I've heard that men who beat wives usually learned that behavior from daddy. Also, children of abused mothers learned how to deal with that abuse...for better or worse.
Also, boys who were beaten/abused by mommy dearest sometimes turn into wife-children beaters/abusers just to get even and validate themselves.

Lots of screwed up folks, aren't there?

At least life is short. I only hope they are ready for eternity...not so short.
