An unnamed White House official released this statement on the shooting at the Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.:
"The President has been briefed several times about the unfolding situation at the Washington Navy Yard by Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Lisa Monaco and Deputy Chief of Staff Alyssa Mastromanaco. The President directed his team to stay in touch with our federal partners, including the Navy and FBI, as well as the local officials. We urge citizens to listen to the authorities and follow directions from the first responders on site."

Reporting now that shooter dead and was former Navy official who’s job status recently changed.
I figured he went out to golf.
That’s the problem with Obama’s government and his undying need to create problems out of nothing, all for his rabid political purposes. They play with peoples’ lives, their health, their savings, their retirements, and their jobs, all in an effort to exact control over each and every aspect of our lives.

It didn’t take long for at least one Hollywood actor to turn to gun control this morning. With details about the Washington Navy Yard shooting still widely unknown, “Happy Days” actor Henry Winkler wasted no time in making a sarcastic statement about the event — and gun control — on his official Twitter account.
