The ride is on. As Twitchy reported yesterday, organizers of the 9/11 2 Million Bikers to D.C. march are moving forward despite reportedly being denied an event permit. Riders across the country are tweeting that their kickstands are up and their motors are revving up.
Safe travels to all.

For the 2 million bikers? I propose all cars, trucks, buses drive around DC as well. People should also walk about as a sign of support. :)

Social media and Twitchy are on it and well continue to report as events unfold.
I haven't seen *any* mention in the media of the proposed *2 million" bikers descending on Washington DC on 9/11. facebook.com/2MillionBikers

Report: DC denies permit for 9/11 bikers; Planners move ahead anyway
You don’t need a ‘permit’ to ride a motorcycle in DC.
Just go there and drive around a bit.
Harley Open Headers would be the best.
I pray that they get to meet up with the million muzzie rabble that is supposed to be in DC. Could be quite entertaining.
Obama must be crapping his diaper. 2 mllion riders converging on DC and he is going to give a speech as to why we need to bomb a place that has done nothing to us.
This is getting interesting.
I hope it is close to 2 million
PACK SOME BEEF JERKY AND WATER!!!! (and maybe toilet paper)
Mr. Bopp nails the corrupt media. Good for him.
Any groups from the Pittsburgh, PA area going?
I don’t ride a Harley but would like to participate.
Good luck. I don’t have a bike or I’d be there too...
Call it what you want but on 9/11/13, a Million Muslim March (MMM) has been scheduled to take place on the Washington mall. Last month, it was learned that bikers would be organizing a counter-protest and their event was billed as the 2 Million Bikers to DC rally to remember 9/11.
Unlike the MMMs, the bikers have been denied their permit. According to the groups Facebook page, it looks like theyre going anyway.
Are “The Sons Of Anarchy” riding in too?
initially coined the Million Muslim March and later changed to the Million American March Against Fear, the committee hopes to generate awareness about civil rights violations that Muslims have endured after the September 11 attacks that occurred nearly 12 years ago

The permit was for a "non-stop" ride through the city; meaning they block cross traffic, etc. By not granting the permit, for what ever reason, DC officials have just gaurenteed that traffic inside the beltway will be 100 times more screwed up than normal :-)
Personally, I think the denial was based in liberal activism, and I find it hilarious (and inspiring) that the bikers are going anyway.
As one who can’t stand the noise of motorcycles, this ‘march’ rather improbably makes me sympathetic, for the day, for all the poor souls living or working in DC (or simply trying to drive around the area).
No permit, going anyway - cool.
Should have done it on a Friday afternoon when they all want to get out of Dodge :-)..
Anyway big cohones award for doing it, kudo's to them and I hope traffic is as is Fubard as this country has been 3 the last 5 years, it couldn't happen to a nicer bunch...
Scrooge the leftist hacks in DC. Those bikers collectively have sent multiple millions if not billions of their tax dollars to DC. They share ownership of those streets and they can ride on them if they choose.
The Muzzies will be less then 50,000. Go Bikers go!....
