My wife is very ill and in need of prayer. She was diagnosed with blood clots in her legs several weeks ago and was put on Cumadin and sent home. The Cumadin didn't work, she developed additional clots and several migrated to her lungs. She was sent to the ER and then admitted to the hospital and a CT scan was ordered. The scan showed several clots in her lungs and it also showed a mass on her liver. The oncologist first diagnosed liver cancer and since the mass was relatively small we were hopeful that surgery and a round of chemo would take care of it. Yesterday the oncologist informed my wife that her situation was 'much worse than I originally thought' and told her that the tumor on her liver was a met, not a primary tumor. However, they haven't yet found out what her primary cancer is...they told her she metatastic disease but can't tell her what cancer.
We're both in a fog and feeling lost. I feel like I've been through hell these last three days, I can't imagine what my dear wife must think! She's putting on a brave face and trying to stay positive but this week has been brutal.
Please pray for her. Pray for healing and for her comfort. She is my wife of thirty years, my best friend and soul mate. I will be absolutely lost without her...

Sometimes it's hard for us to recognize that in such a personal battle for our loved one, our best human support is to recognize boundaries, offer love and prayers, and focus on the other person's emotional needs, however strange they may seem to us, not on the satisfaction of our own needs or desire to be helpful.
May God comfort and sustain you, and give you peace! Expect a miracle!!
My family will pray a rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet for your wife and you, a plea for miraculous healing for His Greater Glory, that God’s will be done either way - because He wills the Eternal best for her, and you, which is why He sent His Son. I’ll skip a meal for her too.
The why of this suffering you are experiencing today is a way to come closer to understanding Jesus’ love for you and your wife in what He went through for you and her, as you two are going through for her now - true self-giving love like nobody’s business.
Suffering is God positively permitting us a glimpse into what is surrendering to the Father’s will in total Love for Him, as did Jesus for Him, for His children - pre-heaven. Usually we don’t get that and just think “this sucks and I’m so angry”, understandably. It’s a difficult, but in God’s way an opportunity, to experience the Cross, to partake in Jesus’ true and total love (sacrifice) for us. I hope you will feel it that way.
I hope I didn’t freak you out but that this will bring you some measure of deeper understanding.

Heavenly Father, We all come before you with a solemn heart and in need of Your intercession. We pray that the cancer that has come into this dear woman’s life soon fades into a quick remission.
Comfort her upon her sickbed, and ease her suffering. We beg for deliverance, and submit that no healing is too hard for the Lord. We therefore pray that You bless her dear husband with Your loving care, renew his strength, and bless him with peace, comfort and understanding in Your loving name.We believe in Your loving capacity for miracles, and ask for this on this husband wife’s behalf. As we grow older, I know we become closer to the day you accept us back into your kingdom. We ask that you delay that holy union if it be your will. In your name we pray,
Lord, Your scripture set forth that You heal all diseases and whoever believes in You will not perish but have an everlasting life. Strengthen this husband and wife, Lord, in this time of her illness. Sustain them as she lays sick in her bed. When You were on Earth, you did all things good and healed all kinds of sickness.Lord of all…this woman is suffering, her husband is suffering, we ask to do what is right, good and best for them. As it fits your plan, heal her and mend her body and lovingly grant her days of better health and strength. As her husband waits your grace and blessing please grant him an extra measure of patience, endurance and perseverance. Lord we know You are able to heal. Grant this couple the wisdom to understand Your timing.
Let it be done in Your glory, Lord.
