It is time for Christians, and those of other faiths who value this nations unique character, to leave the Republican Party and start their very own political organization.
For decades, the Christian alliance with the GOP has failed to roll back or even mildly halt the relentless advance of liberalism. We have lost the culture, lost the traditional underpinnings of the nation and no longer have a national character we can take pride in. The Republican Party is useless for all those who are serious about upholding traditional Judeo-Christian morality.

A resounding NO! The only success weve seen is via TEA people working hard to take back the Republican party. Dividing the vote in the primary will result in a RINO nomination. Join us in this endeavor! Weve seen third parties for a long time, and they continue to fail in getting anything done. If you really want change, stop dividing the vote. That is precisely how they win.
JRandomFreeper:
You don't get a choice. People are streaming away from the GOP like they would a leper colony. That's the new reality.
They're getting far from the Republican Party precisely because of:

Because then they couldn't cheat as easily; granted it was pretty dang obvious in the 2012 run with the shenanigans during the RNC. (And let's not forget retroactive rule-changes for the primaries!)
I think I'd be more concerned with the salt losing its savor than having too much of it.
double-headed dragon bump
Salt wasn't just for seasoning. It was also, and perhaps more importantly, a preservative.
Yes to Christian. I'm thinking no to conservative

Any adherence to Constitutionalism, at this point, would be radical change and therefore not conserving
(keep at status quo) government.
Or should we just allow the left to turn our young into the majority that is oppressing and suppressing us?

I'm coming to the opinion that the cry of they're stealing our young
is an excuse for bad-parenting.
That said, I totally agree with one Freeper whose tagline read: Public schools are prisons for those who have committed the crim of being born.
Very true.
It still is, if you do your own canning or pickling.
“Why doesn’t the GOP want to close their primaries?”
Why do they run primaries at all?
I’ll answer the question: because they want the state to subsidize their internal functions. Conventions are expensive, so they want to push the cost onto the state.
Interestingly, the VA gop just selected all of it’s statewide candidates by convention this year. To their credit, and my utter amazement, they picked a really good set of candidates. For the first time in a long time, I’ll be voting FOR some statewide candidates rather than voting against the worse of two clones.
Blame the system...if we had 50% + 1/'runoff' elections, Clinton probably would have lost.

You have your opinion but the facts differ.
But Republicans don't want to win. They play to lose.
And since you brought it up, ‘grown men' are those who get the job done regardless of circumstances. Grown men don't make excuses and they don't accept excuses. They don't run from their responsibilities for the sake of convenience or expediency. These are qualities sadly lacking in the GOP.
I’m there...
Great idea - where do I sign up?
Who is Dewhurst running against?
The reason the GOP still has any power to push Amnesty, any power to fund Obamacare, to run a man with an actual in office record more liberal than Bill Clinton are the sycophants on this thread.
Democrats, the vast majority of them anyway, will always be evil. It’s what they are. But what of the people here who SCREAMED bloody murder that, everyone sing it with me, “We’re gonna hold feet to the fire!”
And when the time comes to hold feet to the fire (That would be NOW, when the GOP moves leftward at an increasing rate) those same people demand that we NOT hold feet to fire. They demand we keep empowering them.
In any sane discussion between rational adults, that would be immediately pounced on as complete and total bullXhit. Hypocrisy in it’s purest form. Instead, I half expect pictures of Yosemite Sam on a dragon to be posted or some other equally stupid defense of their liberalism to arise. It often does.
One of the things that infuriates me about ‘conservatives’ on FR is that they will also scream bloody murder that the founders and the Constitution are sacrosanct...and yet totally ignore or pretend their actual words do not matter or are not relevant in 2013.
Really? Well, lets put this back on an even keel. And before this goes any further, lets hash it out. All you Romneybots and GOP sycophants go get the rest of the crew and see if you can convince anyone that Alexander Hamilton was wrong when he said ..
If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures. - Alexander Hamilton
Now. There are only two possibilities. One of the men who helped create the country we live in, who uttered the above, a quote that guided over 200 years of American political thought, is wrong, or the GOP cheer squad is wrong. There is no splitting the baby here. And all of the writings of the founders follow his thoughts on the subject up to and including the very father of the nation.
So in sum, until someone from the GOP side can fully reconcile putting their party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures with governing as the founders intended, please sit down at your local GOP HQ and get about your preferred business of shoving America to the left without those of us who believe in America.
We will be the ones standing by the words of our founders opposing your liberalism.
Further, and before the latest round of excusemaking gets underway by the GOP apologists, I would point out that when Hamilton and co. LIVED by those words, they did so during a time when their and their families lives were directly threatened by the British Empire. And in case you forgot your history lessons, a number of them were shot dead for it, their families along with them, their lands and property taken, and others jailed.
Yet all we the pussified have to do is vote our conscience. All we have to do is to employ the rights our forefathers died for as they intended. No threat of death. No threat that following our vote, the Redcoats will take our big screens from us.
And many here lack the moral courage to do even that.
That’s a fact. Look at the past year of GOP excusemaking threads here and on every other right wing website out there. Look at our so called ‘heroes’ on talk radio and Fox. The supposed conservative writers. Most lined up fully with the GOP...who then brought us the current Amnesty push, refused to fight for DOMA, Cowered when the chick fill’a thing happened, sat silent time after time as Obama usurped more congressional power...
No point in listing it all since it will be ignored and excuses. But on a separate note I would like to announce that I have solved America’s energy crisis. My plan involves hooking the shaft of a generator to the bodies of the Founders...who are spinning in their graves fast enough to halve our energy needs at peak.
As a Christan conservative, you have no voice in the GOP. Get it?
There all in bed with each other. When one steps out of line thier on the front page of the propaganda news. Mafia tactics
