As the violence escalates in Egypt between the military and the Muslim Brotherhood supporters, another conflict has been relatively unreported. Since the almost-civil war began, Muslims have targeted Christian sites and practitioners for barbaric attacks. Roughly 10 percent of the Egyptian population is Christian but they are being targeted for two reasons. The first is that they supported the military in ousting the radical Morsi from office. The second reason is that they’re Christians and the Muslim brotherhood and their cohorts hate them.
So far, close to 100 churches, monasteries, orphanages, businesses, and homes have been attacked with many burnt to the ground. In Cairo, Islamic terrorists paraded three nuns through the streets and sexually abused two other women. In some incidents, moderate Muslims have helped Christians in need but it’s not been enough. The police and military, who have expressed sympathy for the Christians, have stood by and done nothing while the attacks occur. In the city of Minya, churches canceled Mass with one church noting that it was the first time in 1600 years that it did not conduct Sunday prayers. Priest Selwanes Lofty of the Virgin Mary and Priest Ibram monastery said, “We did not hold prayers in the monastery on Sunday for the first time in 1,600 years. Supporters of deposed President [Mohamed Morsi] destroyed the Virgin Mary and Priest Ibram monastery, which includes three churches, one of which is an archaeological site. One of the extremists wrote on the monastery wall ‘donate to the martyrs’ mosque.”
What makes the matter more infuriating is that the Obama administration and the media are virtually silent on this story. Newsbusters points out that the attacks on Christians in Egypt only garnered a grand total of 5 minutes and 41 seconds total of the evening news programs from August 15th. CBS gave it a paltry 15 seconds while devoting a 3 minute and 22 second report from a mosque showing the bodies of pro-Morsi supporters.
It doesn’t get better with Obama and his administration. Remember that Obama fully supported the anti-Semitic Morsi and has people affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood in his own administration. The White House’s deputy press secretary even joked about the current crisis in Egypt. When asked by Fox News’ Ed Henry if Obama had a “red line” beyond which he would act against Muslim attacks on Egyptian Christians, press secretary Josh Earnest replied, “Well, I didn’t bring my red pen out with me today.” Earnest then went on to express the administration’s outrage over the attacks but would not name the attackers. However, he found time to call out the Egyptian military for attacking the Muslim Brotherhood by saying the military perpetrated “violence…against peaceful protestors.”
This entire situation is sad and the response by the media and Obama shameful and pathetic. Sadly, it has come to the point where I no longer even expect a shred of human decency from either one. My prayers go out to those Christians persecuted in Egypt. God bless and keep you safe.
The perps aren’t white or christian, the victims aren’t black or muslim. What’s the problem? Nothing to see here.

Barack Hussein obama is MUCH WORSE than a disgrace!!!! He—a muslim (and probably a muslim Brotherhood member) who grew up entirely outside of the United States—want to see the Brotherhood succeed. Any Middle East and Balkan Christians who die and Christian Temples and Monasteries that are trashed are totally expendable.
Then there is the way he treats us Americans—that HORRIBLE “health care” law that rations health care and destroys jobs while driving up the cost of insurance, pushing the disgusting “gay” and its “rights” on us, fomenting racial hatred and strife, and facilitating the INVASION of our country by Third World hordes under the guise of “immigration reform”.

I was reading a story this morning how in the south they are going through the cities and marking the homes & businesses with red paint of the Christians. The people are too scared to leave their homes for any reason...food, water, medicine...they leave for nothing.
Yet the Christian faith is growing and spreading in the global south nations.
Why do we even expect the MSM and Bambi to comment on these atrocities?
What is so disgusting is that NOT ONE in the House or Senate have raised his/her voice in protest.
Agreed. You would think that at least some of our elected officials would stand up and say something, but no...

These same guys/gals go to prayer breakfasts and other spiritually devout practices. (Don’t they also have some chaplain pray before each session?)
Can you tell me whom they pray to or is it just all make-believe practices for their constituents?
Got a call at 0900 from the PUBS asking for money. Decided to pick up the phone anyway (I have caller ID). My bloodpressure was sky high after I got through with her. Won’t give them a penny.
I agree 100%! If a politician only pays lip service to my beliefs, then I won’t give them a damn. (Of course, with Obama’s economy, I don’t have a dime to give anyway.)
