Contra Ace and Ann Coulter, its actually not that complicated.
Yes, Cruzs story is a little unique but its not even remotely complex.
Lets go to the actual law according to the Customs and Immigration Service

NO, HE’S NOT.
Actually he seems to be.
Not that I’m ready to drop him as a candidate just because he’s got some controversy, mind you.
:D
As much as I like Cruz, and had hopes for his Presidency, I’m inclined to think that, if he was born in Canada, he’s not eligible. My only question, is where were these people when Obama was running?
He’s better qualified than most of the people currently looking to run.
IMO the criteria should be, whether they love America, its traditions, and have conservative values.
Print out a birth certificate, heck, do it with a crayon. Put it out there and dare them to challenge it. That opens the door and puts the current fake up for discussion also.
What we have here is another “birther” issue. At least he can prove where he was born, unlike someone else we know and detest.
If Cruz overcomes the one whose turn it is and becomes the Republican nominee the election will be 98% about his eligibility. The Democrats will talk about nothing else. The MSM will talk about nothing else. As a result the Republicans will talk about nothing else. A couple of bloggers will raise other subjects but the comments to their blogs will be 99% about eligibility and most of those comments will be government generated. the counter subject of the kenyan’s eligibility will not be heard at all. It will be forbidden to talk about such a blatantly racist subject. Can Cruz win an election on Eligibility?
IMO we know where bam bam was born. Bam bam WON’T prove it but he could if he wanted.
but to quote Hitler, What does it matter? When our Congress puts their ideology over America.
Has he EVER had citizenship in another country. Even as a child.
You know, these idiots could buy an actual book on the constitutional convention and look into the conversations the people who drafted our constitution had on the matter.
Well, except that the truth is in their way.
“That opens the door and puts the current fake up for discussion also.”
Only for people with integrity.
Please read the law for yourself by looking up Title 8 section 1401
Hell the kenyan is not even a citizen. He is an Indonesian citizen which he never renounced and which is particular citizenship is incompatible altogether with retention of American citizenship which he never reclaimed. He is an illegal alien.
“Let’s go to the actual law...”
Oh, let’s not - it’s so much more fun to play the game of “Ted Cruz is so stupid he doesn’t even know his own citizenship status so I have to go on every thread and bellow “but he was born in CANADA, his father came from CUBA!!!!!!!!!!!! He cannot RUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or something like that...
Tell you what it reminds me of. Three people in a room. Two of them are talking ABOUT the other one, as if the other one isn’t even there.
And these folks wonder why the rest of us here don’t see them as the all wise, all knowing geniuses they believe themselves to be.
While TED CRUZ (the third person in the room they pretend isn’t there but yak ABOUT incessantly) goes about doing great things.
Secure in the knowledge WHO he is, WHY he is that, and WHAT he should do.
Do you actually want 9 lawyers deciding who our candidates can and can’t be? How quickly you have forgotten Obamacare. The Supremes aren’t God - and sometimes they make horrible decisions. Why is it that Americans leave our fate up to a bunch of lifers who sit around in black robes playing God with our lives. Do you really believe they care that much about the Constitution? There may be 4 who do, but the other 5 - not so much.
