Didn’t we fight a war, so I didn’t have to care what this baby’s name is?

Unfortunately, if I were to strip, I’d send the audience running and vomiting to the door instead of titilating their sexual desires. Instead, let s all continue to obsess about the beauty of CZJ.

I love it! Here in the U.S., Public Enemies 1 and 2 are both named George (Bush and Zimmerman). And that’s the name the royals select for the future king!

Also, the timing could not be better!

Take that, libs!

So his name means roughly God the Father, protector of men, famous in War.

Should have named him Sheriff

“This must be driving the lefties nuts!

HRH Prince George of Cambridg has same name as George Zimmerman and President George W. Bush, President George H.W. Bush and George Washington......LOL”

I’m delighted with the choice of George for the little King in Waiting. We’ve had lots of George’s in my own family. Plus I’m very glad they put a Louis in there too, in honor of Louis Mountbatten, the great uncle murdered by the IRA back in 1979. New Grandpa Charles idolized his Uncle Louis, and was crushed when he was killed, so the choice of Louis as one of the boy’s names must have pleased Charles to no end.

There are strong Russian family ties with the name "Alexander"....there were a number of Russian tsars related to British royalty. Both Tsar Nicholas (the one assassinated in 1917) and his wife, Alexandra, were first cousins to King George V of the United Kingdom.

Many of the Russian royals were related in some way to Queen Victoria, as were most of the royals in European monarchies. She married her numerous children and kin off to innumerable royal houses in the Continent.

Nicholas' mother was the sister of British Queen Alexandra who married Prince Albert (Bertie) in 1863.

The last real Englishman to occupy the throne was Harold the Saxon,

Thanks, I'd forgotten that. No kings named Harold since then. Harald in Norway does not count.

George is also the patron saint of England.

My fourth apostrophe post of the day:
Georges, not George’s. But it would be more correct to say,”whenever a George is on the throne.”
Though it wouldn’t be historically accurate. There have been six kings of England named George, and only one revolution.

I hope they’d have left the “Louis” out. Earl Mountbatten was incompetent at most of the things he did, not a nice person, and a bad influence on Prince Charles.

The name Louis would make Prince Charles very happy, he was very close to his Uncle Louis Mountbatten

This couple seems very good at being kind and sensitive to others, unlike the rest of the royals

Today has been an apostrophe catastrophe.

I like the middle name of Alexander. It reminds me so much of what my mother told me about the reason for my middle name.

Actually, it does. Since the Conquest in 1066 the throne has mostly been occupied either by descendants of the Norman Frenchman, William the Conqueror, or by descendants of the German George I, who was imported in (roughly) the early eighteenth century to assure a Protestant succession.

And in between were the descendents of Breton Scots.
