Huh? Egyptians toss out Sharia Law; Great Britain and the US are welcoming it.
one man's opinion...

The news out of Egypt is stunning. The vast majority of the people of this overwhelmingly Islamic nation have just successful, and peacefully, deposed an autocratic Islamic government that was hell-bent on instituting Sharia Law. If you review many of the stories out of Egypt after the Islamic Brotherhood won control of Parliament, and Morsi became president, there was a near-universal theme throughout them: Sharia Law was coming soon, as the MB moved to fundamentally change ( there, I said it ) Egypt. Yet, for whatever perverse reasons, Great Britain is going out of its way to bring sharia law into the open, and many in the US, such as CAIR, are working to the same end.

Though not directly related to sharia law, there's this story from GB today: British TV channel to air Muslim call to prayer

And regarding Sharia Law in Great Britain:

Islamic sharia law comes to Great Britain

Inside Britain's sharia courts

And as for our own nation, on this its birthday:

Is sharia law infringing on our American rights?

Report: Muslims back Islamic law, disagree on meaning

Sharia in American Courts

Maybe it's time for Americans to Walk ( and talk) like an Egyptian ( Bangles ALERT!!! LOL)

Did they trow out Morsi because they didn’t like muslim brotherhood, Sharia Law or because the economy was in the crapper?

I think that you may be overly optimistic in assuming that the Muslim Brotherhood was unpopular because of radical Islam. The most common interpretation is that it was the bad economy in Egypt that led to Morsi’s ouster.

There will be a problem with Sharia Law in the U.S. Oh, I know that it’s already here in some places, but as it tries to spread, it will be met with resistance on an individual level, even if it isn’t on the government level. There will be a push back. (Or a “blowback”?)

The most common interpretation is that it was the bad economy in Egypt that led to Morsi’s ouster.

People rightly attributed the bad economy to Morsi. Islamist countries understandably don't attract a lot of tourists, and tourism was a large part of Egypt's economy. Morsi made it clear that despite the propaganda campaign (aided and abetted by Obama) to portray him as a "moderate" muslim before the election, his real intention was the institution of radical Islamist Sharia law, regardless of the economic damage it would do to the country.

All of the above. Political Islam is the problem. It spells domination and societal retrogression. Intelligent Egyptians do not want to go there, period. Look what they did to the country since they took over.

The look Susanna Hoffs gives in that video - where she sort of licks her lips and her eyes shift sideways - is one of the sexiest things ever caught on film.

Economy is the last concern of jihadists. Look at jihadi regimes where ever they exist. Most are at bottom of economic ladder. Sharia is #1 for jihadists.

When the United States was first formed, each state through “reception statutes” accepted the English Common law - so far as not repugnant to the Constitution, as its core, fundamental law. The English Common law included the principal of stare decisis and encapsulated centuries of hard won advancements in individual rights- such as the Magna Carta. This established the notion of “the rights of Englishmen.”

It is a unique blend of tribal Germanic, manorial, Roman and feudal law.

Even the state of CA formally accepted the English common law when it became a state. I think Louisiana was the only state that didn’t, but has become harmonized over the years.

Sharia law is fundamentally foreign to the United States and its very core principles. It cannot be adopted in any way, shape or form without negating our identity as a country.
