Apparently Bing wants to celebrate "gay pride". Any conservatives interested?
I remember some freepers suggesting we should switch over to Bing after they had an Easter greeting and Google wouldn't even acknowledge the holiday. Well, I'm sorry, if this is the kind of content we get from Bing, you guys have picked the wrong horse to back. Time to find another search engine like Alta Vista?

I switched from Bing to Start Page a few weeks ago.
I know they use Google results, but its apparently a separate company.

” Alta Vista”
Already there as of last week.
Loads faster than Google and works smoothly over a slow link. (200k)

I detest Bing anyway. They are very slow and their results are lousy. Google is better than Bing as a search engine, too bad about their unfortunate politics.

I agree that G is better than B but I use Startpage as they piggyback on Gaggle for their search queries. Even Youtube has the faggot emblem nowadays.

My local Kroger was selling "Pychodelic Roses" today...with the secret code that they were every color of the rainbow. Oh, and a helpful web add announced that they were co-sponsoring the "Cincinnati Pride Festival".
The dominoes have fallen chums. Next stop Rapture.

Alta Vista Good Luck with that. Firstly: Alta Vista is owned by Yahoo. Secondly, they are pulling the plug on July 8.

Blekko:
Blekko is a spam-fighting search engine where the search results are biased towards higher quality websites suggested by experts and other Blekko users. It works according to slashtags, which are curated lists of user-approved websites on a topic. Users can include slashtags in their search criteria to influence the results in favour of pages from these chosen websites. By doing this, they can remove many unwanted results from the spam websites and content farms that tend to clutter Google results pages. Users can also create their own personal slashtags to include the websites they prefer and trust, and add the slashtag /monte to any search query to compare results from Google, Bing and Blekko.
Duck Duck Go: One of Blekkos partners, Duck Duck Go places a strong emphasis on privacy, which makes it a viable alternative for users who dont like feeding Google (and their advertisers) information like what they searched for and which links they clicked on. It doesnt track your search queries or log your IP address so it wont store information on who you are, what you searched and when. The Duck Duck Go search results page includes a one-line summary from Wikipedia (if the term has a related Wikipedia entry) and related search suggestions in a right hand column, as well as a disambiguation page for terms with more than one possible meaning. It also automatically links to the encrypted, secure version of many major websites like Facebook, Twitter and Wikipedia.

I guess there is always this.
To: RobertClark
Thank you very much for that.
Have tried them both and they are both ten times faster loading that Google.
Will give them a good look at later. :)

You’re quite welcome. I see the topic of search engines appear on FR frequently. I usually just shake my head at the ensuing debate over which of the majors is less evil than the other. Duck Duck Go is, by far, my favorite. It’s quick, I love the simplistic layout without all the advertising and sponsored results, and it is like ixquick when it comes to privacy.

For anyone interested in DuckDuckGo, be sure to check out
This Page for items that are built into Google that a lot of people think isn't available elsewhere. It's the Swiss Army Knife of pages!

*sigh* remember when Youtube wasn’t owned by Google? It was just some random guy’s brainchild. No adverts, no removal due to copyright, no homo logo? Before they were snaffled.
