Been pretty good guy on most of the issues.
Michigan Democratic Rep. John Conyers, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, told PJ Media that Attorney General Eric Holder has been put in a bad fix but remains a pretty good guy on most of the issues.
Michigan Democratic Rep. John Conyers, ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, told PJ Media that Attorney General Eric Holder has been put in a bad fix but remains a pretty good guy on most of the issues.
Conyers was asked for his opinion on the panel investigating Holders role in seizing the emails and phone records of AP reporters and Fox News correspondent James Rosen.
Im going to be meeting with the attorney general on this is it tomorrow or the next day? I want to try to get some clarity on it, said Conyers on Capitol Hill.
Holders been put in a bad fix. Im assuming that he has not ever authorized this, but there are people saying that there are memos that he did so my take is to talk with him about it.
Conyers also said he does not view Holder as a liability for Democrats.
No. Even if hes made some mistakes, I dont think hes a liability, Conyers said. Been pretty good guy on most of the issues.
Conyers told PJ Media that his meeting with Holder would be off-the-record.
In sworn testimony on May 15, Holder said, With regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material, that is not something that I have ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be a wise policy.
News reports that followed Holders testimony have raised questions among the Judiciary Committees members.
Media reports circulated revealing that in May, 2010, the Justice Department had sought and obtained a search warrant for emails belonging to Mr. James Rosen, the chief Washington correspondent for FOX News. The search warrant was issued in the investigation of the publication of an article by Mr. Rosen in June, 2009, that allegedly contained classified material, said an open letter written by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte of Virginia and Crime, Terrorism, Homeland Security, and Investigations Subcommittee Chairman Jim Sensenbrenner of Wisconsin to Holder on Wednesday.
The New Yorker magazine obtained a copy of the forty-four page search warrant affidavit, which alleged that the source of the material was Stephen Jin-Woo Kim, a Lawrence Liverpool National Laboratory employee detailed to the State Department. In the affidavit in support of the search warrant, FBI Agent Reginald B. Reyes stated, there is probable cause to believe that the Reporter [Rosen] has committed a violation of 18 USC §793(d) [the Espionage Act] at the very least, either as an aider, abettor and/or co-conspirator of Mr. Kim.
The committee asked Holder to provide all regulations and internal Justice Department policies that govern the issuance of search warrants for the email communications of members of the media no later than June 5. Another Justice Department official responded Monday, but Goodlatte and Sensenbrenner said theyre waiting for a Holder response.
Texas Republican Rep. Louie Gohmert, a member of the Judiciary Committee, claims that Holder lied.
It appears very clearly that he testified to something that was not true. Either that or he committed a fraud upon the court by participating in a fraud, a lie, upon the court to say that James Rosen was a co-conspirator, a flight risk, all this kind of stuff when he didnt believe it, Gohmert told PJ Media on Capitol Hill.
Either he lied to the court or lied to us. It seems pretty basic.
Despite this, Gohmert is not sure if Republicans have the political will to keep pressure on Holder.
I dont know if our party has the political will. Our speaker has said some things to indicate he does. Well see, Gohmert said.

Conyers is a treasonous effin commie.
What do you expect from leftwing statists - integrity?
Course not. We never eat our own. No matter if they’re caught red-handed, we just say we’re disappointed, and Bush did the same thing nad nothing happened to him.
criminal activity is never a liability to a democRAT.
Now, if he was having Christian prayer time with some staffers, and did not have such a nice tan, Conyers would want to throw him right out.

This is kind of funny. Conyers meeting with Eric Holder.
What a brain trust that meeting will be.
Holder could shoot his mother in cold blood and Conyers would congratulate him on a fine shot.
The meeting of course will be to find ways to make this go away, unfortunately Conyers isn’t bright enough to be a much help to Holder.
I can tell you this— out of 95% of Blacks that voted for Obama, that same percentage will back Holder to the Hilt.
Including every member of the CBC.
Conyers has always impressed me as being dumber than a doornail. I think the President is correct in taking advice from him.
They’ve all decided to double down. Unless the GOP gets firm, right now, we are witnessing a slow motion coup and our transition to a uniparty system ala Soviet Russia.
Obama has obviously decided to simply be “in your face” in these most recent personnel shuffles, and Holder is certainly not going anywhere because he’s Obama’s attack dog and has been very effective at it.
Also, I happened to read this morning that there are legally mandated Inspector General positions for all of the agencies - which Obama has simply never filled. The Senate has to approve the appointees to agencies or positions at a Cabinet level, and he’s offered only two of them and then has withdrawn both nominations. So most of the agencies do not have an IG; in the case of State, he appointed a “temporary IG” who was actually from the State Dept. himself, a violation of all the regulations because it creates a conflict of interest. And he has overstayed his “temporary” term and is becoming the defacto IG without benefit of Senate oversight. This was the one who was supposedly “investigating” Benghazi.
But it’s all part of a pattern. Obama gets away with any illegality he wants by simply doing it, and he has learned now that there are never any adverse consequences to him for this practice.
In Your Face was utterly predictable from this guy. He never strays from the 1960’s template set by Abby Hoffman, Bill Ayers, et.al.

“He black.. he one of us.. and no matter what he do to whitey, it ain’t no problem with us..
...and he gonna he’p push for slavery reparations.”
This, coming from a guy who didn’t think his wife going to jail for conspiracy to commit bribery was a liability and yet was re-elected - it’s all a matter of where you’re sitting you see.....
Anyone wanting on or off this ping list, please advise. Thanks.
