The entire pretext by which the Obama Justice Department justified spying on James Rosen was flimsy enough. They trumped up the notion that they might charge him as a criminal co-conspirator to justify the warrant that allowed them to read his e-mails and access his phone records. This was always absurd, based on ridiculous notions about how Rosen approached his reporting work.

I believe the next visit to Congress will be a fascinating thing. He can repeat his story of “I don’t know”, but they will tear him up. I think, based on the schedule....he knows that he’s clear now until after the summer vacation period. So figure September will be the next visit. I suspect he will resign by that point, and walk out the front door. The next guy will have to pick up the mess and carry on.
He should be at the end of a rope.
My question....Where's Valerie??
I think we see right here exactly how the White House WANTS journalism to be done -- you sit at your desk, we will send you press releases, you publish the stuff we give you. Everyone wins: you have the easiest job in the world (and access to swanky parties) and we control the message available to the voting public.
And this is really how journalism has been done for the past 5 years or so. But, if a journalist starts asking questions ... well, that kind of suspicious behavior calls for wire-tapping and search warrants, naturally. Nip it in the bud, Andy.
Listened to Greta VanSusteren’s program the other night. She said she knew of Holder’s past performance as a Judge. He was very well respected and fair. What happened?
I never expected much from him; but, when he tossed out the case against the Black Panthers who were obviously intimidating voters at a polling place, when they had all they needed for a conviction, I knew he was a racially motivated individual and not at all concerned about the rule of law. Great person for the country's Attorney General.
He has had a number of cases where he has made questionable decisions, but this one shows that he is just a rubber stamp for the government.
Does anyone not think that the WHOLE of Fox News wasn’t targeted here?
I had the thought last night that I’d bet that Andrew Breitbart was target #1 for the IRS, FBI, EPA, DOJ goons.
When will we find out that the DOJ tapped his phones and tailed him? When will we find out that some judge hid the warrants?
Rosen (respectfully)was a small fish. Breitbart was the big dog.
“The entire pretext by which the Obama Justice Department justified spying on James Rosen...”
Obama has a Justice Department???
Learn something new every day.
Because ya don't have to obey the laws in banana republics.
Now that would be actually getting to the problem so the CONgress must circle the wagons & protect all of these elitists.
yes, they were looking for other information on Fox. Believe me, the White House would love for Rosen to waste all his time on stupid North Korea stories. What they probably wanted to know was what Fox had on Fast & Furious.
Without question but not in this corrupt government.
What happened?

The reins of power.
IF it is true that Holder was a fair and well-respected judge -- which I seriously doubt -- then Obama's brazen power and Chicago Thug influence must be to blame.
In the absence of a big surprise, this will lead to impeachment hearings in the House. And, it wouldn’t surprise me that the Obama Administration is orchestrating this so as to make Holder into O.J. and polarize the U.S. on the basis of race, for political purposes. If Fast and Furious wasn’t enough, in terms of lying to Congress, the Obama Administration moved to another level of affront to the U.S. Constitution. Thinking this through, the House should deny funding to the Justice Department until Holder is gone. I think that would be easier to do than to rely on a 2/3 majority in the Senate.
