As news of last nights incident in Watertown, Massachusetts spread, police from all over the North East converged, once again, on Boston. Along with them were elements of the National Guard and U.S. military.
Though an official announcement has not been made, and likely will not be made, the entire Boston metropolitan area is now in complete lock-down in what can only be described as a de facto state of martial law.
By all accounts, law enforcement and military personnel have classified Boston and surrounding towns a war-zone, especially after a gunfight yesterday evening that left one of the Boston Marathon Bombers dead and the other still at large. In a video of the early morning engagement, rapid gunfire and explosive detonations, believed to be more pressure cooker bombs, can be heard as police and residents scrambled.
This has led to shelter-in-place orders being issued by officials, a widespread militarization of nearly a hundred square miles surrounding Boston, and deserted streets throughout the city.

Preppers’ PING!!
How many people in Boston wished they had a AR 15 with a 30 round magazine with them behind their locked door?
Wait till next week. An unarmed population is unacceptable.
Listening to a woman being interviewed on local Boston TV right now, saying she feels “helpless and afraid”. I’ll bet though, if someone handed her an AR-15 to take into her home, she would put her hand up and decline, shaking her head and saying some liberal nonsense about guns not solving anything.
It’s madness.
Just like the government wants her to feel.
Watch out America, apparently Jihad works!!
The order has been lifted.
If ONE 19-year old kid can shutdown an entire town, imagine what 80,000 Saudi students can do to this nation.
Total madness has settled over this country.
my first thought too. on lockdown..lets take a poll of bostonians...so now do you want gun control? how many are kicking themselves for being defenseless. remember they can always throw up on them or stab them with a pen.
They can always throw a chair at the terrorist during a “clip” reload.
Me! And I’m not even in Boston!
Instead of thousands of armed citizens trying to help track down this POS they want everybody cowering inside their houses.
The EXACT response they want. How easy it will be when gun confiscation comes knocking at their doors.
Sickening.
“If ONE 19-year old kid can shutdown an entire town, imagine what 80,000 Saudi students can do to this nation.”
On the other hand - if 10K LEOs cannot find a 19-year old terrorist they have corraled in a 20-block area - how do they think they can corral 80 million American gun owners - unless of course they all turn their collective 300 million guns in......
Right. I was hoping one of the media at the presser would ask the Police Chief if that might be a good “idear”.
Imagine a 100,000 muslim jihadi H-1Bs working in power plants, fertilizer factories, refineries, chemical manufacturers, hospitals, utilities, dams, pharmaceutical formulators, water supplies, sewage treatment...
They are not closing in on the suspect, because the police think he’s wearing a suicide vest.
Well, in keeping with the title of your thread, let’s extend what we know.
Motorists in that area are telling news reporters this afternoon they have been stopped at check points, told to exit their autos, and the autos have searched.
An official (FBI??) stated at a late afternoon conference that they have gone door-to-door and conducted “limited” searches.
Given the character of the very top LEO’s of our nation, one could reasonably ask under what circumstances will such searches become commonplace and more general than “limiited”.
I even wonder what the result would have been today if any of those searches had revealed a plain-view firearm. Would an AR15 with any sized mag have survived or would it had been “temporarily” seized for public safety?
One day the Islamic terrorists (as clearly is the case here) will learn how to more efficiently reach their goals. What will our society look like then, even if they ultimately fail?
