Just how many so-called 'new Americans' are we talking about?
In 1986, President Ronald Reagan granted amnesty .... At the time, we were told that population was about 1.5 million. However, amnesty was actually granted to three million of those who crossed our borders illegally.
Between 1987 and 2005, the average annual number of apprehensions made at the U.S./Mexican border was roughly 1.3 million, with arrests reaching a peak of 1.6 million in 2000.
However, in June 2010, former president of the National Border Patrol Council, T.J. Bonner told Fox News that for every person caught trying to enter this country illegally over the U.S./Mexican border at least two more successfully make it here.
"Were about 33 percent effective. It's like shoveling sand against the tide," said Bonner.
So, using Bonners rather conservative estimate, 41.8 million illegal aliens have entered the U.S. since the 1986 amnesty.
DHS also deports those who entered the country legally on legitimate visas, but who either committed a crime while here or simply overstayed their visa.
So, we do not know exactly how many removals involved those who crossed into the U.S., by eluding the Border Patrol. However, when the DHS is deporting 400,000 foreign nationals while an estimated 1 million crossed the border illegally that same year it is obvious that the federal government is losing ground each and every year.
Furthermore, when you consider that all of the amnesty bills proposed since 2006, contain a provision to eventually allow each amnestied illegal alien, to then bring 4 to 5 relatives to the U.S., you are looking at a truly astounding number of individuals.
If Congress does pass an amnesty bill, the resulting chain-migration could translate into an additional 200 million new U.S. citizens, or legal residents, practically overnight.

Nice pic of the poor wee illegal aliens hiding in the shadows...
Do you have a zoomed in version where we can see the fear in their innocent eyes ???

Right!! In the shadows!!! Like they were at the ACU sponsored CPac..
[snip]NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. Spanish-speaking wait staff hustled around the Conservative Political Action Conference ballroom Thursday evening, laying out cups and silverware with such precision and speed the room echoed with the sound of clinking wine glasses, rolling food carts and pounding plates.

That 11 M figure went to the wayside decades ago, but it sounds “manageable” and less threatening.
Like Bush's Homeland Security boss, Chertoff was found to have people who had entered the U.S. illegally, wandering around the inside of his private residence...During wartime yet...
It's one big farce, a wide open conspiracy specifically met to divide the once united in an effort for government to gain more control, in it's march towards total control and Socialism...It worked extremely well.
It would be like flooding the country with trillions in counterfeit currency..Oh wait...
“It would be like flooding the country with trillions in counterfeit currency..Oh wait...”
LOL...yep!
You may have missed all the CPAC discussion. Al Cardenas, head of the Amer.Conservative Union is ALL out for amnesty, as is his cohort Grover Norquist. NOTHING conservative about that bunch! We are SO sold out!

“Back around 10 - 12 years when George Dubya Bush was pushing his illegal amnesty, we were told there were around 12 million already here, with about 1 million new arrivals every year. Even then there were non-government estimates of a more realistic 20 to 30 million.”
Are you sure about your dates. I would swear those numbers were used while Bubba and Jezebel were P.
The floodgates were wide open from the end of RR’s last term and Pappa Bushs term.
From their own website, their mission statement begins:
"Founded in 2001, the Pew Hispanic Center is a nonpartisan research organization that seeks to improve understanding of the U.S. Hispanic population..."When the truth (a higher estimate) was incompatible with their mission of 'improving understanding' of the Hispanic population, you can bet the house the truth had no chance!

Actually, Clinton was pretty good at workplace enforcement until 1998. Gingrich, Chambliss, Isaacson, the entire Republican Georgia delegation wrote a formal letter demanding workplace enforcement be stopped because it was upsetting their big Vidalia Onion producers. It’s been downhill since.
I'm not sure it wasn't before Dubya's time also - you may very well be right.
I can only say with certainty that I remember numbers like that being thrown around during his terms as well.
This bullshit is ridiculous.
There aren’t even 100 million Mexican folks total.
China FWIW can’t spare the people, they have a shortage.
“This bullshit is ridiculous.

Population of Mexico is around 112 million, ranking as 11th most populated
country of the world.
All illegal aliens aren’t Mexican. There are 50 thousand illegal alien Irishmen! Just Irish!
Don't be so sure that all the high estimates have to be wrong.
"150 Million Adults Worldwide Would Migrate to the U.S" - gallup.com
And 150 million does not include the spouses and children of the "150 million adullts."
Let’s keep adding:
“Our best estimate is that there are 75,000 to 125,000 illegal Haitian immigrants in
the country. In 2000, the INS estimated there were 76,000 illegal Haitian .”
We’ve got a lot more since their big floods...so let’s say 125,000. JUST HAITIANS
59 percent of illegal immigrants are from Mexico. Other countries in the top 10: El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, China, the Philippines, India, Korea, Ecuador and Vietnam.
That’s worldwide. China being, say, 1/6th or so, would be about 25 million from China. Which is high - but not 100 million from just China.
There are reasonable numbers, and there are unreasonable ones. Saying that 100 million Chinese are going to just come to America is just not going to happen.
This number btw - is going to go down as time goes on. I know people say that it is impossible but it can and will. There will come a time when there is no immigration demand to the US whatsoever.

I agree...WHO is going to want to come here when we’re just another 3rd world dump????
And how many Mexicans total? There’s only 115 million in Mexico! You’re telling me that more than 4/5ths of Mexicans would pack up and leave to come to America? Not happening.
Did you know that the TFR in Mexico is just 2.27? That means that over a period of 20 years, there would be just 9.3 million Mexicans more than what is needed to keep the population stable. So I’d estimate total Mexican immigration demand to be around a half a million a year, assuming almost all go to the United States.
“I agree...WHO is going to want to come here when were just another 3rd world dump????”
It’s called falling birthrates. Look it up sometime and educate yourself. People aren’t going to come to America because the people just aren’t there. That’s why there’s not much immigration from Europe.
A couple of years ago, a caller to Rush gave out a shocker. He wouldn't give out which government agency he worked for but said that they're still dealing with administration and paperwork from the Reagan amnesty as of that year. So the last one is now going on at least 26 years.
And us Conservatives will be whittled down to nothing more than minor pockets of resistance.
