A $500 million reading-skills project has been unveiled by the Obama Administration. And young readers all around the globe—except United States citizens—will benefit from it.

The Assistance to Basic Education Learn to Read Now, or ABE LEARN, program is seen by the administration as a key step in carrying out the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Education Strategy 2011-2015.

According to a Request for Proposals that Patriot Update located via routine database research, ABE LEARN specifically is aiming to attain Goal One of that plan: Improve the reading skills of 100 million primary grade-school children globally.

“U.S. Agency for International Development’s Education Strategy 2011-2015. “

USAID...next to the State Dept. the most infiltrated, corrupt agency in government. Has been for a decade or so.

This is why they refuse to do a budget...congress is compliant. Transfer wealth out of US. New revenues will not be applied to making US stronger.

Bush spent something like $30 billion on AIDS in Africa. Democrat or Republican, what does it matter? Both seem to have no qualms about spending other people’s money on pretty much whatever they want, including foreigners.

I guess USAID does more than subsidizes bad Free Trade Communist trade deals....it ships out US wealth to educate the people USAID is sending the jobs to.

And guaranteed you will have some Free Trade Communist claim that “this is good for America”

The government can never be trusted with the people’s money. They will spend us into bankruptcy if we don’t force them to stop. I can just imagine how many billions of dollars that are wasted on worthless programs like this one.

I would add, that even if some of these are good programs that doesn’t mean they should be funded by our taxes.

They won’t stop anything because they’re either weakwilled worthless pieces of dung, don’t want to upset anything becuase their bennies will stop, or on board with the whole thing. Any R who doesn’t shout loud about this and all the other offensive unconstitutional garbage going on in deecee is just as guilty as the most radical socialist/dem.

We blew all ours on programs to teach kids how to put condoms on bananas and throw books at mass murderers intent on shooting them.
