In spite of a concerted campaign by 'anti-Zionists', the Rolling Stones have announced they have no intention of cancelling their planned concert in Jerusalem on Israels Independence Day, Monday, April 15.
Weve been slammed and smacked and twittered a lot by the anti-Israeli side, said Mick Jagger, the bands leader and most recognizable member since 1963. All I can say is: anything worth doing is worth overdoing. So we decided to add a concert on Tuesday.
Needless to say, tickets to both concerts, Monday night in Teddy Stadium in Jerusalem and Tuesday night in Bloomfield Stadium, Tel Aviv, have been sold out even as Jagger was speaking.
This is a huge mistake for the Stones, declared BDS proponent Rabbi Lynn Gottlieb. They stand to lose a lot of money as a result of showing solidarity with Zionism, because their most devoted fans also support boycotting Israel.

Good job Mick. Go away Pink Floyd, yuk!!!

As for money, the Stones already have that, thank you. As for “devoted fans who also support boycotting Israel,” let’s see which they pick, their favorite group or a boycott that is going nowhere anyway.
Personally, I don’t listen to much of anything contemporary, other than the Man In Black and Blues Traveler. That isn’t to say that I don’t enjoy You Can’t Always Get What You Want or Ruby Tuesday, though. So maybe I’ll support the girl-cott in favor of Israel and go out of my way to listen to Mic as well. But that doesn’t mean I’m going to watch Madonna shaking her sagging buttocks and singing songs from the ‘80s. She has not aged gracefully.
A fascist “rabbi”. Wow. How sick is that?

Interesting factoid, Johnny Ramone was a big Dennis Prager fan.
Sorry!
Antisemitism has as long a history in England as it does in Germany and other places in Europe. Jews were not even allowed to live in England from 1290 through 1656.
Just a minute. It says in parenthesis “hoax”. Is somebody yanking our chains?
The title at the blog post is “Rolling Stones To Israel haters:’Up Yours’”
Get real. "Sympathy for the Devil" played in Jerusalem?
We're supposed to be OK with this?
Do you think the Stones stand for anything more than their own self-promotion?
I don't care if these stinking bastards have been around for 50 years and are about as long in the tooth as rock bands go. Will we now conveniently ignore the corrosive influence this band has been for that long a time?
Since Altamont in 1969 til now can anyone name one thing they and their entertainment have contributed to toward making America a better place to live and to affirm and advance conservatism?
Can someone who calls himself a conservative please try to make the case for celebrating the whining of THE confused Dark Angel of all Creation -- Satan -- the anti-Christ -- the epicenter of all EVIL in this world --- the patron saint of the Democrat party (there, I got your attention):
Go ahead --make a case if you can for that same Satanic whining that Mick Jagger has set to music and made his millions doing so all these years now heading to Israel to poison the atmosphere in the land that is "the apple of God's eye"
Let's all think a little deeper here before we are all so quick to celebrate this peddler of dreck.
FReegards!
Leave me out of it.
I never said I was suddenly a Stones fan. Only that I respected their stand. Even if they’re doing it only for their own self=promotion, they ARE doing the right thing.
“If one is a good Jew, one cannot be a Zionist; if one is a Zionist, one cannot be a good Jew.”
Whatever you say, Mahmoud.
We’ve had a lot of NK kooks here lately.
I actual prefer the straight-up anti-semites over the new breed. More honest.
I agree - the NK types are concern trolls clothed in sanctimony.
Get a hold of yourself, man - it’s only rock and roll (but I like it).
I’ve liked their music since my wild youth.
Still do!
“This is understandable because Judaism and Zionism are by no means the same.”
True
“Indeed they are incompatible and irreconcilable: If one is a good Jew, one cannot be a Zionist; if one is a Zionist, one cannot be a good Jew.”
Absolutely nonsense.
Now, I am a Roman Catholic who joined a Bible Church because our local priest is a bed-wetting communist and an anti-white racist. I don’t have a semitic bone in my 6’10” tall Scot-Irish body, but I do know a fair amount both Judaism and Zionism. As was recently posted here, Orthodox Jewish people fall in four camps on the issue:
1. The NK position espoused by a rare few like yourself and Iranains that Jews need to stay out of Israel until the Messiah apears and re-forms Israel as a kingdom
2. The Jews who believe modern Israel is a fore-runner to the state to be founded by the messiah and thus Israel should be supported
3. The Jews who believe Israel is just a secural state, but needed to protect Jews from persecution and, being their homeland and all, a perfectly logical place.
4. Jews who believe that Israel helps secular Jews become Orthodox Jews simply by gaterthing together.
Now, 2-4 are the the overwhelming majority position of Orthodox Jews. No. 1 is the position of some fringe kooks.
What rabbinical authorty are you relying on for your statement that Judaism and Zionism are incompatable.
