Lawmakers in Washington State have accidentally written a bill permitting police to invade private homes for the purpose of confiscating “illegal” guns and accessories, such as magazines which hold over 10 rounds. (1)

According to Senate Bill 5737, introduced on February 13th by Democrat State Senators Murray, Kohl-Welles and Kline, no one may possess an “assault weapon” or the combination of a semi-automatic pistol or rifle capable of using a detachable magazine AND any magazine that can hold more than 10 rounds of ammo.

Happily, however, you ARE allowed to possess an UNLOADED assault weapon “…for the purpose of permanently relinquishing it to a law enforcement agency of the state.” (1 P6)

Naturally, the statute would NOT apply to police...

> Who is writing all these laws for the demoRats to pass?

They learn to "write"-think in schools. By the time they make it to the legislature, bill writing like this is second nature.

Well, MINE won't be UNLOADED, none of them. And I won't be handing them over to any goosestepping Government goon, period.

Only the legal ones have ‘dried up’.

"....that would make you a felon...."

Soon we will all be felons anyways.
Like our brothers in NY state: "We will not comply".
If I could move to a Red state I would, but I can't right now - and appear to be just about out of time anyway. Then the whole country becomes a Blue state.

Washington State does not currently have a law regulating private transfers — but a bill with those provisions (but without home inspections) could, unfortunately, become law. Friends and relatives, however, will ignore it.

they already did it nationally with the Lautenberg amendment making it illegal of anyone convicted of domestic violence (misdemeanor) to ever own a gun. No one will touch it now because they will be painted as women haters, and women will buy into it because it feels right, and the law is to protect them, whether constitutional or not.

Will your doctor put you under oath before asking you about guns? If not, what penalty is there for lying about whether you have any?

Obama's arrogance is unchecked and in his recent imperial proclamation he actually acts like all doctors are now his minions stating that its OK to ask your patients about guns.

16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.

Basically, what does that say but to direct doctors to ask patients about guns in their homes? Its basically an order to do so with threats implied.

“With a bit of luck, someone snuck that in there with the intention of getting the entire law tossed out on Constitutional grounds.”

Nope. Just the Rats accidentally publishing an item on their wish list.
