Of all of the characteristics one might ascribe to Susan Rice, prescience is probably not the first thing that comes to mind. Surprisingly however, five years ago she said something that demonstrated a momentary clarity of vision that is staggering. In a March 2008 interview she said the following: “Clinton hasn’t had to answer the phone at 3:00 in the morning, and yet she attacked Barack Obama for not being ready. They’re both not ready to have that 3 AM phone call.” If the events immediately following Benghazi showed Ambassador Rice to be a hapless marionette of the administration, the event itself demonstrated clearly that she was spot on five years ago.
Unfortunately, Benghazi demonstrated something far more sinister than just an administration’s feeble attempt to cover up its incompetence. It demonstrated the role that a pliant media can play in impacting world affairs.
Here we are five months after Benghazi and we’re only now discovering that President Obama was detached during the entire attack. According to Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, on September 11, 2012 he attended a pre-scheduled 30-minute session with President Obama at approximately 5:00 PM EST. During that meeting they spent about 20 minutes talking about the surrounded American embassy in Egypt and the emerging situation in Benghazi. Panetta states that the President left operational details “up to us.” After that, for the next seven hours during which the American consulate and annex in Benghazi were under attack and the American Ambassador killed, Panetta heard nothing from the Commander in Chief, nor from anyone at the White House. Nothing. Not a call, not a text, not an email, no smoke signals. Nothing. Our ambassador was dead along with three other Americans and President Obama was not engaged.
We later learned that Washington sent not a single ship, plane, soldier, or marine to help. Between midnight and 2:00 AM EST – between five and seven hours after the attack began – Secretary Panetta issued orders telling two Marine anti-terrorism teams in Rota, Spain to prepare to deploy to Libya. They would not arrive for another 10 hours, long after the attack was over.
Why were there no assets closer to respond more quickly? According to General Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, because the State Department did not ask for them. But one would expect, given that the American Ambassador in Libya wrote a letter on August 16th stating the consulate in Benghazi could not sustain an attack, that the State Department would either request more security or close the consulate. You’d be wrong. Why? Because Hillary Clinton claims that neither she nor anyone in her office ever saw the Ambassador’s cable.

Believe it! Remember Travelgate”, Vince Foster, Lewinsky, etc.? They defied orders to produce information, refused to testify, gave false testimony, etc. This is that all over again, multiplied by 100 or more. Those that love the left scream and holler all kinds of vile stuff towards anyone who looks at the democrats cross-eyed, and scream and holler about how intolerant the right is and nobody does anything. It works for them. What a system! It produces a good result EVERY SINGLE TIME. No one on the right wants to put up with all the hassle.
Did you ever notice that the media knows exactly what to do, right away? All media bots know just how they should distort the news to favor their politicians?
Do the media bots all talk to each other and discuss what to do? I doubt it, there wouldn’t be enough time.
Do they get a memo from the politicians telling them how to slant the news? I think this is very possible and likely, but I haven’t seen any proof.
I think that none of that is needed. The media people and the politicians on the left all think alike. Their minds see the same reality and interpret it all the same way. It’s as if they all share one great big collective mind.
It’s far more than dereliction which implies negligent disregard or carelessness. No, this coverup by the media is corruption at best, and subversion at worst. The fourth estate has become a fifth column.

1) Only the POTUS can authorize a CBA (cross border authority) command for a rescue mission in a foreign nation.

2) No rescue mission was attempted.

3) 0bama turned his back on 41 State Dept. and CIA employees refusing to issue a CBA command and went to bed so he could go to Las Vegas the next day.

0bama did not call a meeting in the situation room. IMPEACH. He was worried a failed rescue mission like Carter’s Iran hostage rescue failure would HARM HIS RE-ELECTION. Americans died because 0bama’s re-election was more important to 0bama. WHAT A SURPRISE! /S

While that is certainly true, the alignment of liberal and media views is far more than a certain like-mindedness. The media’s agenda is far more insidious than that. It wants to attack our institutions and any and all politicians who dare to espouse conservative principles. The media exhibits and harbors resentment of American exceptionalism, sees our wealth as greed, and always blames America first. Like their liberal soul mates, they want to completely re-shape us into their vision of a collectivist utopia.
Shortly after the attack, the WH realized it didn’t look good not to act.. SO.. They wanted America to think THEY thought it was only ‘a protest over a video’.. Nice try, WH. Nice attempt at a COVER-UP.. IMPEACH!

Read ADVISE AND CONSENT, a novel originally published in 1959. It portrays how the media work together because they all "think alike." Formal consultation isn't necessary.
The novel itself deals with the nomination and Senate consideration of a controversial nominee for Secretary of State, hence the title.
Most beginning journalists get their jobs through who they or their families know. They are obligated to prove their loyalty, follow tradition, and not make waves. They aspire to parties in the Hamptons, the press pool on AF1, being called on at pressers, and getting perks from their liberal bosses.
When W delayed response for 5 min to finish a kindergarten goat story, the media was apoplectic —FIVE MINUTE DELAY (followed by a “shoot ‘em down”-order).
HYPOCRISY LEVEL: MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE.
