Found this little gem today, thanks to Say Uncle.
A $2 Zip gun.
What you need?
Rubber dishwashing glovesA 3/8ths inch female to female coupling
A 2″ 3/8ths inch pipe
A 3/8ths to 1/4-inch adapter
A drill bit wrapped in duct tape (a 10- to 16-penny nail or similar will suffice in lieu of the drill bit)
A round of 9mm ammo, with the case wrapped in duct tape.

If you make this for your personal use only, its completely legal. You cant sell it or give it away, because that would be manufacturing according to ATF rules and regs.
You shouldnt even turn it in at the next gun buyback, wink wink.
Having said that, we would STRONGLY recommend not carrying one around with the cartridge loaded in the ZIP gun as it may go off unexpectedly if you bump the nail/drill bit at the wrong time.
Heres the how-to video. Not even 2 minutes long, with a catchy tune playing in the background!

I almost bought a 45-70 revolver from a friend a few months ago. Wish I did. Few have that caliber so it isn’t sold out yet (not to mention very single-shot effective).
You like that, try this http://www.tacticalmachining.com spread the word and have at it you weekend warriors. (no pun intended)
In for a penny, in for a pound. How about a “Zip Claymore?”
And another prison manufactured beauty.
Actually, much easier.
Take any short, relatively large diameter steel pipe and a cap for the end. If you can weld, simply weld an end plate on.
Drill a hole in the end cap or plate. I think a 15/64ths drill is the right size. Tap it for 1/4 X32 threads.
Buy some model airplane spark plugs. screw one into the hole.
Apply a load of black powder to the inside of the pipe. The amount will depend on the pipe size. Add wadding. Add ball bearings, nuts, buckshot or other items for the projectiles.
Point toward enemy.
Apply 6 volts from ordinary batteries to the glow plug to fire.
Ignition takes about .15 seconds.
Everything is perfectly legal. You have simply made a muzzle loading blackpowder cannon.
It works much like a claymore. A zip claymore is a good appellation.
I ordered two 550’s of .22 LR about three weeks ago from Bass Pro Shops. They shipped on Thursday. I don’t know if the back order lag is still the same. It may now be longer. East Texas is totally sold out. I did get three boxes of 9 mm at at gun shop out on Lake Palestine about three weeks ago.
Oops.. wrote model airplane spark plugs. Should be model airplane glow plugs...
For later view.

I remember back in the ‘60s and ‘70s homemade zip guns being pretty popular in the concetrated Democrat parasite nests (”cities”). They used to make them with short lengths of metal pipe.
A strand of wire from a pad of steel wool strung between 2 contacts is all you need.
It says they shipped out of KC on Thursday. Unless, of course, they become “lost” in transit to DHS or some other guv’ment cabal.
