Walmart Is Not Ordering Anymore Ammo

Stopped by my local Wal Mart this morning. They are out of almost every kind of ammo. I asked to talk to the person in charge of ordering to see if they had any information on this subject. The manager I talked to said they had not heard anything…BUT. She tried to order some .223 as I was standing there. She said the order was being rejected by the corporate...

Oh Good Lord, folks at WM do not call in for orders. All inventory needs are software generated. I don’t believe anything about this story.

Most are software generated, but they certainly do call in orders. You can specifically order most firearms.

That said, the ammo is more of a software generated issue as you state, and given how hard it is to come by, it is also most likely a matter of wholesale availability. If it isn't in the warehouse, you can't get it on the next truck.

If Jimmy Carter gave us Ronald Reagan, what kind of president can we expect after this regime?

Jarrett/Moochelle. No, not kidding.

As a treat, I stopped in at the local BBQ place the other day. I will never be back after seeing a huge signing stating they accept EBT cards. Excuse me, but picking up some bbq is a treat for us since it’s so expensive but apparently not so much for the scum I’m handing my paycheck over to.

With all the flak WM got over that Rosie bs, I’m not believeing the WM story unless they can’t get ammo from the manufacturers.

“Oh Good Lord, folks at WM do not call in for orders. All inventory needs are software generated. I don’t believe anything about this story.”

That’s the reason they’re so big - I studied their methods. You buy something, its replacement is on order from the warehouse before you even walk out the door. When the warehouse is getting low, they order a new batch from the manufacturer, again, before you make it out the door. All stores have satellite dishes and dedicated transponder channels - they are linked as fast as electrons (and radio waves) can move.

Let’s not let the Anti-Walmart union types take advantage of us...

Not in Texas. They can’t keep enough .223 on the shelves to last a few minutes after putting it out. Even lousy Tula steel-cased is being rationed out.

“Made the decision 30 years ago to either quit flying or quit drinking, I quit drinking!”

I tried flying when I was just a kid, found that I couldn't. I tried drinking about the same time, I was pretty good a that.

Seems pretty clear to me that Holder gave Walmart a heads up that the treasonous occupier is going after ammo rather than 2nd amendment gun rights. No bullets turn a gun into a rather expensive club.

I also predict extreme mental health screening for permits. For the first time in almost two decades the nation’s psychiatrists are “updating” their guidebook (Diagnosic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) used to diagnose mental disorders. Among the most controversial proposed changes: Dropping certain familiar terms like Asperger’s disorder and dyslexia and calling frequent, severe temper tantrums a mental illness. If a temper tantrum is a mental disorder...we are all certifiable.

Pharmaceuticals have been linked to recent high profile massacres and murder sprees. This has not been lost on Odungo and his hit men.

Too many Americans taking the happy pills pushed by psychiatrists will make them vulnerable to loss of 2nd amendment protection. 1 out of every 5 Americans on either anti-psychosis, anti-depression, or anti-anxiety drugs. 18% of all cops diagnosed with PTSD and treated with the same meds. Epidemic of “mental illness” in active duty troops...top reason for military hospitalizations are “mental illness” in nature.

Mix all this with ObamaCare, forced online medical records registry, and the “Executive Pen,” it begins to stink worse than Al Roker’s undershorts.

Noticed lots of “normalcy bias” in this comment thread....

Your ridiculous comment-”The Gov bought the ammo up.”

Now, anyone who spews that is the insane one.

I notice you stopped shouting like an insane person.

Let that be a lesson to you.

Feds recently ordered 1.5 billion rounds for all departments.
That may not be “all the ammo” but it is a pretty good chunk.

Back in April or so of last year it was reported that DHS was buying up some 750 million or so 40 cal hollow points. Now, if true, those bullets were not for target practice.

My experience with Gov contracting is that a company on the contractor list bids on the contract. The idea that Walmart and not the ammo manufacturer is selling the Gov ammo is very unusual. As stated,I bought 45 caliber ACP ammo last week. I admit they were low on stock, but; Saturday is when new ammo comes in here. At least that has been my expeience.

Now, hollow points in 40 cal for DHS? Unreal.

Thanks...read that article yesterday on WND. Seemed to me the writer gave Walmart’s response to the ammo issue i.e NOT GUILTY and then immediately proved their response suspect with new “research” independent of the original article.

Quoting new research: “The clerk said they only had what was left on the shelf and that there was a ‘hard lock’ on the reorders. She said they hadn’t been getting any replenishment and that just today the store had received a letter from the corporate office stating that they would not be able to order any replenishment of ammunition, other than some for shotguns.”

“She said they were not stocking anything that could be used in an ‘assault-type rifle.’ I said, ‘This is ammunition I use for practice,’ and she said they were just told there was a ‘hard lock’ on ammo sales.”

Sooo...I guess the truth depends on the definition of “hard lock.” Where’s Slick when ya need him!
