The gap between the earnings of those below 35 and those over 35 is now sufficiently large to say the younger generation will NOT live better than their parents or grandparents.
This generation, tagged Generation Y, is seeing its window close and a growing likelihood it will be the first generation in American history to live less well than previous generations.
Generation Y men and women with skills and educational levels that should have been gateways to at least an upper middle class life are finding the positions they trained for in the various professions either don’t exist or are so rare as to be all but impossible to secure.
One recent law school graduate has bitterly commented, “I had a lot of faith in the system, the mythology that if you work really hard you can achieve anything, and the stock market always goes up. It was pretty naïve on my part.”
Generation Y professionals have seen their average incomes fall by 8% since the beginning of 2008 and their unemployment rate is consistently higher than the general population.
A Rutgers University survey of 2006 college graduates found only 20% even expected to live better than their parents, a level of pessimism that is well founded in light of their almost 50% unemployment rate. Moreover only 20% said their current job was part of their long term career path.
Realizing they have been fooled

Obama’s media duped these young people for the last time; their lives suck, and they will be pitted against the welfare class and illegal aliens to regain any semblance of the world they knew as teens. Their only other option is to join the welfare class, which leaves a LOT to be desired.
I heard the same song back in the 1970’s about the baby boomers. But this time they may be right.
Objective, measurable productivity and durability may be too frightening for her, though. Not near as many cool engineers in TV or the movies as there are suave, rich lawyers. Nor as great a chance of making it big in politics if you are NOT a lawyer.
And, way too many Generation Y voters will vote, in all future U.S. elections. Prove to me how true conservatism is making any kind of SERIOUS COMEBACK, very soon, if ever?

This may be true, but their pessimism is for all the wrong reasons. The enduring promise of America’s future was based on sound economic and political realities - free market capitalism and limited government.
When those sound principles are ignored or eradicated you get what we are experiencing now - less freedom and a depressed economy. Which, as we all know, are only going to get worse as long as the policies that promote the destruction of our founding political and economic principles are followed.

She DID get an education, the main COURSE she learned very well, SUE. ROFL........oh the irony.
There is a equal mind set between lawyers and those who go into a life of crime....both are capable of doing work that is worthwhile, moral and ethical yet there is a predisposition to work outside the lines of normal behavior. Both groups live off society.
I remember the comment we graduate lawyers, other industrial countries graduate engineers. Well, the chickens have come home to roost. Just look at the pampy’s constantly whining about how much safer “the children” would be if we had no firearms. I wonder if they ever consider there would be no children living a life of freedom or liberty had there not been someone there who used a firearm to provide the ability to do just that.
33 yr old, graduated in 2009, at age 30, so she spent 12 years in college for her law degree? or did I miss something?

For most of them it won't make a difference. They have never had to take care of themselves and with an Iphone 5 in hand and a new tattoo to show off, what could be the problem?
Meanwhile, 60%+ of them probably voted for Obama because it’s cool to vote for the First (half-)Black President, and because they were more interested in “social justice” than the destruction of the American Dream.
I have a lot of sub-30 friends on the Internet, and they will continually gripe about low pay, lousy benefits, and poor working conditions (i.e., having to actually work)...but then they’ll elect liberals who cause those conditions because they honestly thing free contraceptives for women and gay marriage are more important issues. They somehow just think that the economy will sort itself out and magically Obama can create them good jobs. They get their news from Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart and Saturday Night Live. They think they know everything, when in reality they aren’t seriously engaged and don’t think about issues other than on an emotional “FAIRNESS AND JUSTICE!!1!!” level.
And they’re destroying this country. Then when they’re my age (46) and standing in the ruins, they’ll still be blaming the Republicans for causing it, while still kow-towing to pictures of the Sainted Obama.

Either way, they are still fools.
Then you have the John Wesley Hardin types who go from a life of crime to being a licensed LAWYER....., proving Hardin was not stupid, he just figured out how to steal with a PEN rather than a gun.
Which leads to all of Congress persons, the old cowboy criminals grew up, hung up their guns and went into POLITICS, and get PAID TO STEAL. (this is not sarcasm)
The result has been a dramatic fall in the quality of lawyers produced in the US, and a drop in the average income for lawyers in general. While the top students from the top schools will always find a good paying job, the rest will struggle. This “flooding the market” with lawyers has helped fuel the rise in frivolous lawsuits.
BTW, my law school, which sought to make up for imagined past wrongs against Blacks by admitting so many unqualified students, saw its ranking drop from a “top 20” law school to a “top 50.”

They voted overwhelmingly for Obama knowing he is anti-freedom. Their egos tell them to distain anything white and Christian and do the opposite as they view themselves (diversity) as superior. The opposite of constitutional freedom is fascism/marxism. The opposite of individual rights is collective abuse and oppression. The opposite of wealth is poverty. The opposite of Western culture and morals is hellish chaos, corruption, failure and suffering.
The older generation can’t help them and they are not socially, culturally nor economically equipped to help themselves in large enough numbers to maintain the civilization and economy that whitey built.
Many of these people wait for someone else(whitey) to give them a job rather than thinking like an American free man who innovates, starts businesses and builds economic empires. As the boomers retire, it will only get worse for this generation. Given their mentality, they will seek solutions from race and class baiting socialists. They don’t know any better.
All you’ve mentioned rings true with what I’ve seen of this generation as well. One more thing to add is that they expect to START at the top of whatever profession they choose. How many times have you heard one one of these pampered princes assert that they should be making as much as someone with twice their experience?
When i was an entry level engineer with some work experience, I made 32k/yr making fixturing on an assembly line to make it easier for the workers to make their widgets. I used to think that the older guys were looking over their shoulders a little worried about our generation growing up to take their jobs. I feel no such threat from this gaggle behind us.
