We are just starting to learn a great deal about Adam and Nancy Lanza, probably far, far more than we really care to. We've been told about Adam just getting his driver's license, Nancy's newly rediscovered passion for firearms and shooting, how Adam was a near genius in some ways, how he lived in the basement of his mother's home, decorated with military type posters, how much alimony she received. One simple thing we have yet to be told: Did Nancy Lanza own a gun safe?

Well,,,, it was just the first thing that popped into my head.
It was later announced that this rumor is not true. So far the only connection between the perpetrator and the school that has come out and continues to appear correct is that he was once a student there.
No it isn't. It is still all on the nutjob who made the choice to commit the crime. Maybe it wasn't in a safe because she was keeping it close to her for protection. Either way, it is not 'all on her'.
Or at a minimum keep the guns at friends house.

First, the postmortem blood screening. What was in his blood and what was missing. There should be absolutely no problem with this.
Second, i want to see Adam's medical records for the last ten years. I want to see what medications and strengths he was prescribed. I know that the Physician’s Desk Reference contain many more adverse reactions that are listed in the various advertising on TV.
There might be a problem with the second one as advocates will start yelling about his privacy rights. Excuse me, Adam is dead so where is the problem? And if the useful idiots continue to scream about his rights - about about the rights of his 27 victims? Shouldn't we be talking about their rights over Adams?

These thoughts occurred to me also.
If the kid were focused on getting into that hypothetical safe, there's lots of ways he could have gone about it. Maybe Mom had a password memory problem--like General Ripper in "Dr. Strangelove": "P-O-E", Purity of Essence, "E-O-P" -- Essence of Purity, and left clues around--or maybe she was careless with securing the original instructions with the combination. The question of whether she took any precautions is a good one.
I’ve seen speculation on this and I have to ask. Couldn’t he have just killed her and got the key’s or killed her and found the combination or maybe he already found the combination or she in fact didn’t have a safe at all.
That would have been the best option if she was, as reports indicate

funny when I mention those points, , you know career more than bring a parent, tired after work so let kids have TV in bedroom and never see kid, be a friend to a kid instead of discipline, coddle boys like they;re little babies , then most agree except a handful, mmmmmmmm.wonder why.
My wife was a nanny , saw first hand how some ignored their kids, bought them all they want but never sat down every night talking to their kids and raising them with morals, respect hard work ethic, nah she was too tired to deal with her kids, easier to have day care,nannies, baby sitters deal wiht it instead of them after all they;rpe tired after work and other nights they like to have a drink with their co workers

blame goes around , parents , both of them, who th ehell would take their kid who has fell out of mainstream to a gun range and what;s the betting she bought the gun because he wanted the gun.

What is a 20 year old adult doing at an elemntary school. Why weren’t the Police all over this creep at that time???
The prior FR thread indicated that Lansa as a young student at the school was a already seen as a NUT job???
