BC over at the blog 1'm 41 contacted me in a quest to ask
"50 of the brightest minds in the conservative blogosphere their views, so that I can compile a set a blogging best practices to help act as a guide for the thousands of grassroots conservative bloggers -- so that as a group we can be more effective at attacking liberals."
I gave BC a short summary of what I thought needed to be done in the face of a vicious left, a gutless, mealy-mouthed right, and a culture at war with American values and morality.
Kudos to BC for assembling 18 rules by getting a wide range of comment from an interesting mix of right bloggers like The Lonely Conservative, Jimmy Z, Zilla, Wolf Files, Angry White Dude, Kathy Shaidle, The Black Sphere, Blazing Cat Fur, The Looking Spoon, Chicks On The Right, Waznmentobe McCain and Moe Lane. It s a great read. So yeah, read it all.

After losing to Obama twice, I decided to ask some of the best bloggers what they thought we could do differently.
Below is a short summary of what they feel like would be the best approach (tips, tactics, what to do, what not to do, attack strategy) for enabling conservative bloggers to help conservatives win more elections.

There is only one way to defeat liberals. Embarrass them, insult them, force them into a corner and do not let up. Do not give them the first insult. Right out of the gate call them racist, homophobic, sexist. When they try to turn it around, now use your facts.
This, really, is what Rush does.
Why does the Left include Union members who will work on oil pipelines, and the greenies that hate domestic energy production?
Why does the Left include many American Jews, but other Leftists appear to hate Israel?
Find the divisions on the Left, and bring up those uncomfortable contradictions, once you know your specific target.
This, of course, is what the MSM does to conservatives every day.
THEY outnumber everyone else now.
Stop framing the question as a choice of policy. Rather frame the question as what works. John Dewey, the moron that corrupted education for decades presented himself as a pragmatist; he wasn’t espousing policy, he was only interested in what works. Turn the tables; market forces work, central planning fails. Capitalism works, socialism fails.
It’s a long march but the only thing that will persist is that which works. This is why I’m tempted to choke the beast by giving the Bumbler what he wants so the world can watch it fail. Tempted.
To win the young you are going to have to make it all about them as individuals. These are the kids (40 and under) who have been told their wonderful their whole life. Everything they have ever done was perfect. The think they are God’s gift to the world because everyone from their parents to their teachers to their bosses have told them so. They do not connect with the what’s best for America ethos because they have educated to be citizens of the world. The “Ask not” speech of JFK means nothing to them, they can’t even comprehend the ideal embedded in that speech. For them it has to be what can the country do for them. Listen to any advertisements today and the center piece words are you and your, your life, the car that start with you, the beer for you high life etc. We have to tap that selfishness by explain to them how big government is stealing their life, their future, how they are not going to have they things they want because big government and huge deficits and debt are going to bleed them dry to support the parasites who live off their hard work and sweat. We have to make them understand that welfarism, personal and corporate, is stealing their future. The old appeal to what’s best for the country doesn’t work anymore, we need to get past that. We need to be talking about being the party of personal choice in everything(with the exception of abortion, but that can be addressed in a different way).
Reduce any and all accusations, assertions et all to their core.
1: Liberals, like all propagandists are masters of strawmen and Comparative Arguments. Deny the ability to compare one situation to another. Force debate on the actual subject and DO NOT allow yourself to be sidetracked/baited off course.
2: Words mean things. We may be close, but we are not yet completely beholden to doublespeak and Orwellian word destruction. Invented words like ‘homophobia’ are a prime example. No one I am aware of ‘fears homosexuals’.
Deny liberals the ability to twist the language. Force them to debate matters using words with accepted definitions, not propaganda.
Think about it. How many arguments are derailed and taken down the liberal approved path because Conservatives are AFRAID to simply say some word that ‘could’ offend someone? Like it or not, and I don’t, the answer is many. From professional pundits to blog writers to thread posters, we constantly censor ourselves out of fear of being called racist, homophobic or against puppies.
Until the Blog sphere fights on a level field, ‘we’ collectively speaking, cannot by definition, win. So level the field. And accept the fact that you will be called bad names and your reputations will be attacked. They will go after you, your job, your family and anything else you hold dear.
If you are not willing to man/woman up and fight back gloveless, then you are in the wrong business.
They can’t be argued with, or reasoned with. Play to the audience, those who might be reading the blogs.
I joined facebook a few years ago, and some libs that I know friended me, even one who doesn’t know me - a relative of the Mayor of Philladelphia, who is in a multi-level marketing organization. Their postings were lies about Republicans, lies about conservatives, insults to that which I believe in.
So, I engaged them I presented them with truth, I started postings that were the truth. I was called a bigot, and unfriended by many of them. One of them gave me the opportunity to call him a bigot on three occasions, and I did not hesitate. I noticed that he is no longer on my friends list. His posts gave the appearance that he hates Israel and Jews, natives of York, PA, and Southerners.
Encourage your conservative “friends” to share what you post, and you should share what they post. It will end up being viewd by liberals, who will get pissed off and unfriend.
Do not suffer fools lightly, and liberals are fools.
Pay individuals and independent contractors in cash whenever possible.
Unsubscribe from every possible email marketing list.
Rule #1 Of Rhetoric

If you are not willing to man/woman up and fight back gloveless, then you are in the wrong business.
It happened to me and the lefties tried to get me fired from my job. I post with a pseudo name, but I was also involved in the very public Tea Party rallies and a few of the lefties found out my real name and the harassment commenced! Not only did they try to get me fired from my job, they also outed me and my younger son on the local newspaper commenting section and it took me threatening legal action on said newspaper for them to remove the offending posts and also to ban the person who was harassing me.
The lefties play dirty and remember, they also believe the "the end justifies the means" and some of them are total sociopaths and will try to destroy a person, just because our political ideology differs from theirs. Personal experience has taught me that the real totalitarians are on the left!
BTW, I'm still blogging. Don't let those arschlochs silence you!!!
