How long did it take to impeach Bill Clinton?
At yesterday’s townhall meeting, we had Pete Roskam and Joe Walsh giving assessments of their respective races. If you don’t know, they are both Tea Party Republicans representing IL. Because of time limits they took only two questions. Considering Pete is fourth in the Republican leadership, one of the questions posed was concerning impeachment of POTUS because of the Benghazi debacle.
Unfortunately, he kind of danced around it and reiterated what a lousy foreign policy we’ve had for the last four years. Even though us attendees were disappointed in his answer, I am wondering if he isn’t getting hit with this in other townhalls.
In Colonial days , the delay between the election and inauguration was necessary due to the limited transportation (horse / carriage/ barge, etc.) available then .
Given our current modes of transportation and communication , is there still a need for a 2 1/2 month delay between election and inauguration ?
Considering the damage that can be done in the interviening time by a “ lame duck “ administration , is this delay necessary ?
My concern is about sabatogue ~ National and Exectutive Powers

The only thing that could be done is full criminal investigations and the reality that not a thing will be done with Holdem as the AG.
The delay, or something like it, is likely still needed for a transfer of information to the incoming administration. Presidents don’t take over blind to what all is, and has been going on. If you remember, Obama’s attitude shifted dramatically during that period as he was getting intel briefings and having many meetings with Bush.
Hell we wouldn’t get the votes to impeach out of several senate republicans.
In fact I think pretty much all congressional investigations and hearings are a waste of time these days. Can anyone remember the last time a congressional hearing actually accomplished anything? All they ever find is what dirt the other side has on them and negotiate to keep it all quiet.
If using the logic of Italy to imprison “earthquake” scientists, we should be able to imprison 0dumbo for sheer stupidity.

As far as those people who have no knowledge of this or refuse to see what happened or hold Obama accountable in any way with regard to this matter...
I find myself feeling rather calloused towards them. I have no respect for them whatsoever, not as humans, not even as living beings.
If I awoke tomorrow to find that every last one of them was no longer here via alien spacecraft or whatever else, I would shed not a single tear, in fact I would throw a block party to celebrate their absence.
I no longer view myself as a member of their species.
