The 15 Most Overrated Black People.
Thy Black Man ^ | October 11, 2012 | Donald Thornton

Posted on 10/14/2012 11:57:35 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

Marc Lamont HIll recently listed (in his opinion) 15 most overrated white people.… Referring to it as tongue and cheek on his twitter page…Although; I think he just used that as a cover just in case things got ugly. So since the likelihood of any white person daring to reply with their own black list is very slim, in our politically correct atmosphere. And would be most certainly called the dreaded “R” word (racist). I thought I would compile my own list of the 15 most overrated black people.

Thurgood Marshall…As a Supreme Court Justice…. He is widely known as the lead attorney for the historic Brown v Board of Education Supreme Court victory, which overturned the segregationist policies of our public schools. While his unprecedented appearances before the Supreme Court as a lawyer is noteworthy. His twenty-four years as a Supreme Court Justice was lackluster and mostly uneventful. Like most liberal jurist his sliding scale or all inclusive view of the equal protection clause of the 14th amendment and judicial activism helped to foster the myth of a constitutional “right to privacy” as far as abortion is concerned. That decision alone; along with six other justices under the pretense of a “civil right” has done catastrophe damage to 50 million American babies that never saw the outside of their mother’s womb. Far more damaging than any of the segregationist and discriminatory laws he fought against as a lawyer.

Jesse Jackson… The man who was responsible for causing the ridiculous term “African- American” to go viral in the 80’s has become a case study in what went wrong with the 1960’s civil rights generation and the movement itself. A man who once honored the life of the unborn and talked about the importance of the Black family… changed course and made an unholy alliance for political expediency with the liberal/progressive white hierarchy who came to him, calling in a payment for the support they had given to the civil rights movement twenty years earlier. Jackson became a piped –piper for a death industry that has killed more blacks than the middle passage, slavery, and lynching… combined. And he became an advocate for same-sex marriage at the same time that heterosexual marriage in is own community was becoming more and more obsolete. He has benefited greatly from corporate shake-downs and white guilt. Not to mention his embarrassing stance on issues like the Duke-Lacrosse case, protesting Santa’s use of the word ho, ho, ho on the public airwaves and his obsessive desire to organize “marches” if the wind blows in the wrong the direction.

NAACP and its awards show….The oldest civil rights organization in America, which was started by white republicans… has become the NAADP (National Assoc. for the Advancement of the Democratic Party). This group has consistently followed the Democratic Party line on issues that most people of color don’t even agree with; i.e.….School choice, gay-marriage, welfare to work polices, and climate change. Their weakness and irrelevance confirmed by a trip not once but twice to Geneva to speak before the United Nation’s Human Rights Council; the great arbiters of justice and equality! And as far as its award show is concerned the moment they nominated R. Kelly for an Image Award; it became worthless.

Tavis Smiley….. Ebony once named him the No. 2 change agent in media only behind Oprah. Time magazine named him one of the most influential people in the world in 09’. But yet, his influence was wasted by spearheading symposiums and conferences with the same old crew of monolithic Black liberals that he dubbed “the best and the brightest of us”. And somehow each event always turned into a blame whitey or the GOP for our mess conference…shocking how that happens! And all the events proved to be ineffective. His “poverty tour” with his partner in progressivism, Cornell West was… well for lack of a better word “poor”. Lastly he has been blackballed and labeled a turncoat by many of the “professional black left” for committing the cardinal sin of criticizing President Obama for his abysmal policies in reference to the black community. It’s a good thing he and Big Bird have the same employer.

Black College Professors (mostly liberals/progressives)… Put a few letters behind their names and all of sudden they become experts about what is best for… or how to fix the social and economic plight of black people. While getting a masters or PHD is laudable. Increased knowledge doesn’t always translate into increased wisdom. Viewing MSNBC is proof of that. But yet on every cable channel, including Fox… when there is a news story about Blacks, the media more often than not; will look for the closest black professor they can find, who is usually a liberal, to give an analysis about the plight of black people. And most of the time, they are so far off its ridiculous.

Some Black Preachers … (and excluding my pastor who happens to be black)… In the black community, when a man or a woman had the title of Pastor, Rev. or Bishop in front of their name it use to garner a certain respect because of their service and sacrifice to their communities. Especially in the late 19th and early 20th century, in an era when speaking out could cost you a visit from your friendly neighborhood KKK, White League or Red Shirts. But in our day and age, corruption, sexual immortality and capitulation to civil rights leaders who have sold their souls to a liberal agenda of the DNC; has yielded catastrophic results in their communities. Add to that the fact that many have compromised on biblical teachings that clearly speak against abortion and same-sex marriage in order to support the first Black President. And a political party that doesn’t even want the God they preach about in their platform.

Tom Joyner… Like most black talk radio host; on black radio stations, they are long on bad and borderline vulgar entertainment and short on un-biased information that is important to the black community. His liberally twisted minstrel show is a joke. It’s a morning slapstick comedy routine with an entourage that sounds like they have been out drinking or smoking weed all night. It’s a slap in the face to all the other black media pioneers who paid a huge price for the right be heard and speak about issues that are important the black community. He boldly declared: “Let’s not even deal with facts right now. Let’s deal with our blackness and pride — and loyalty. We have a chance to reelect the first African American president. And I’m not afraid or ashamed to say that as black people, we should do it because he’s a black man.” This remains as one of the most racially and intellectually insulting statements made to black people that I have ever heard in our day and age.

Al Sharpton….White liberals especially MSDNC, love him, conservatives despise him, and honest black people know exactly what he is….a racial opportunist, a civil rights demagogue; who wishes he was born teen years earlier just so that he could have padded his civil rights resume! This man has been on the wrong side of some many issues, that it is impossible to name them all. And like Joyner he has adopted a support the President at all cost, no matter what mentality. And with a Mussolini like snarl; he will challenge any of his “black professional left “colleagues who would dare try and do the opposite. Just ask Cornel and Tavis.

The President… Barack Obama rode into the presidency with hope and change. On the night of his election many black people were captured on video across the nation crying and rejoicing. Well four years later some are still crying but the rejoicing has been replaced with disappointment. Faced with the hard truth… that the government centric snake oil that the DEMS keep trying to sell to Black people doesn’t work. And that the so-called evil banks that he promised to crack down on; have only gotten stronger. The greedy Wall Street brokers that he criticized have simply gotten richer all under his watch. Meanwhile, a horrific jobless rate for blacks has held steady, averaging around 14%(even worse among black youth) for his entire first term is without a doubt disappointing. His constant dismissing of his most loyal constituency and irritation with their complaints are obvious. The fact that the only black-community specific public policy he has signed is a let me throw them a bone, so they can shut-up Education program that will do nothing to improve the educational outcomes of black students. And a change to the mandatory-minimum sentencing for crack users. (I can hear people in crack houses everywhere shouting no justice, no peace)! Not to mention a healthcare and immigration bill that will raise taxes, shrink the workforce and create even greater competition in the job market for Blacks. How about that hope and change!

Tupac Shakur…. Immortalized after his death by rap enthusiasts, college professors and hip-hop intellectuals (Tupacologist I call them). Tupac, like other tormented artist whose lifestyle expedited their own demise; has been made into a mythical folkloric rapper whose lyrics somehow shined a light into the secrets of the inner city. As if his lyrics were a 20th century Uncle Tom’s Cabin rap manifesto about the atrocities of the hood. We already know what has been going on the hood. It has been happening for forty-five years! The destruction and dysfunction of the Black Family! Yet Black liberals and White guilt- laden progressives romanticize about his lyrics and declare he was just “keeping it real” or “deep” about the plight of the black community in the hood. But the reality is, it was HIS TRUTH and not THE TRUTH there is a big difference. If you want to immortalize something about him immortalized that.

Nicki Minaj… enough said!

The Democratic Party…Since they say they are the party of Black-Americans… The DNC won’t admit it but, if the truth be told and closely examined. Blacks are no longer politically en vogue! Gays, Hispanics, Woman and Muslims have become the civil rights flavor of the decade and the future. Remember the public relations nightmare photo a few months ago at the Obama re-election campaign headquarters in Chicago. In which only two black faces were barely noticeable in a sea smiling white twenty-something’s! It‘s no accident folks, it’s the DNC of the future or should I say the past!

Every member of the CDC (excluding the Congressman from the 22dn dist of FL)….. They call themselves the conscious of the congress. A more appropriate title would be the unconscious congress! The fact that they have decided to hold President Obama to a lower standard than any other President, republican or democratic, just because he is black speaks volumes about where their allegiance lies; and it’s not to the people who put them in office. Chairman Emanuel Cleaver has been quoted as saying the caucus “is always hesitant to criticize the president” The only people we don’t hold accountable are people we have little or no expectation of.

Samuel L. Jackson…Is simply an embarrassment to his profession; a man who holds the distinction of being in more movies than any Black man in American history. And yet he chooses to embrace the lowest and most negative stereotype that exists about Black men. The angry, foul-mouth fool, who thinks a well place curse word, adds to his bravado or tuff man image. What it actually reveals is your grammatical ceiling; and your intellectual limits. And the fact that he added his talents to a warped children’s bedtime story for emotional immature parents called; Go the F**k to sleep and a re-elect Obama spoof using the F**k word again is idiotic. Maybe he’s still stuck in his Shaft character?

Charles Barkley ….The former “round mound of rebound” was right years ago when he said sports figures should not be considered role models. He and many other athletes have proven that theory. While his NBA career is noteworthy and he may deserve to be called one of the 50 greatest players. His off the court antics and Christian bashing irk me.., especially when he used to bash and verbally bully one the best centers to ever play the game David Robinson. David finished his career with two NBA rings, and Charles, well he finished his career in Houston, where Scottie Pippen called him out for being fat and lazy. Often outspoken and called on by the media to speak about issues other than sports. Why I don’t know? Still trying to figure that one out…

Marc Lamont Hill is a complete, insufferable idiot. Whenever O’Reilly had him on I immediately changed the channel.

where’s Louis Farrakhan?

Louis Farrakhan, Santiago de Cuba, February, 1998:
"There is not a member of the black masses in the United States who is not proud of the example set by Cuba and its revolution, with Comandante Fidel at its head"

Unity generates power to change reality
By the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan

"The time has never been more ripe for a strategic relationship between the Black, Brown, Native American and the poor of this nation and the world."

"We need a Ministry of Defense. Our young men are born soldiers, but they are in the wrong war. They are fighting a war in the streets of America against each other, or they are fighting an unjust war overseas in Afghanistan and Iraq. We need to bring our boys home and put them into the Ministry of Defense, so we can defend our communities, rather than destroy our communities.

We need a Ministry of Art and Culture. We applaud the hip hop community, the leaders of young people all over the world, but I want the young generation of artists to know there is a bigger purpose for art and culture than popping our fingers and shaking our backsides.

Mao Tse Tung, throughout his long march to conquer China, had a billion people whose lives he had to transform. Many of them were victims of opium, drugs and prostitution, like we are. But Mao Tse Tung went to the cultural community and they accepted his idea. Then, through song, dance, poetry, drama, documentaries, movies and books, the idea of Mao Tse Tung became the idea of a billion people. China became a world power on the base of culture and the artistic community. If we had a Ministry of Art and Culture in every city, [we'd] create this movement [in the U.S.], we could say to our young people, “What is the idea of the Time and are you reflecting that idea in your songs, dance and music?

We need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce. Do you think that a Millions More Movement should not be involved in the development of Africa, the Caribbean and Central America? ... we need a Ministry of Trade and Commerce that can link the struggle here with Africa and the Caribbean, Central and South America.

As long as we're goring sacred cows, let's take on a couple more.

Malcolm X -- little more than a pimp and a burglar, Malcolm Little couldn't make up his mind who he hated more: Whitey or Elijah Muhammed. In the end, the latter killed him, much to the embarrassment of his black separatist supporters and the bigots who marched with him.

Frederick Douglass -- We're told these days that Douglas was a fiery champion of abolitionism, a tireless fighter for equality. Yet he was never mistreated and learned to read from the wife of his white master in Baltimore. He lived little of the harsh life of slavery, serving as a house servant most of his youth, until he escaped at age 20 and moved into the abolitionist circles of William Lloyd Garrison and others. Far from being liberationist manifestos, his autobiographies are poorly written self-aggrandizements cataloging the petty resentments of a man who found his identity by assuming the travails of others.

Ralph Ellison -- wrote one lousy, boring book (Invisible Man) that nobody ever reads outside of PC high school Lit classes. Reiterates the same tired class envy/white privilege mantra that has been popular with black martyrs for the last 80 years, but was nothing more than a disgruntled communist with a tan.

Mohammed Ali -- one heck of a boxer, no doubt. But a loud-mouthed jackass of a man whose ego broke the trail for subsequent windbags like Charles Barkley and Dennis Rodman and turned professional sports into narcissistic vehicles. Compare him to a man of equal skill like Joe Louis, who won his fights and went on about his business instead of assailing us with non-stop jabber about his greatness. And speaking of boxers ...

Mike Tyson -- an utter boob, a complete clown, a misfit who escaped from the 'hood only to prove that if you give a gorilla a bunch of money, what you have is a rich gorilla. Completely washed up, a discredited felon, Iron Mike has to be surviving on the charity of others these days unless he's managed to get his old job at the car wash back ...

Louis Farrakhan -- crazier than a bedbug, Calypso Louie believes whites are demons and blacks are awaiting rescue from their oppressors by civil rights aliens. Aside from a Buckwheat smile that could curdle milk, Farrakhan should be locked up for sheer lunacy, as well as brain pollution.

Jimi Hendrix -- guitar player junkie who drowned in his own vomit. Big whoop ...

Billie Holiday -- blues singer junker who roached her liver and died with a dime bag of heroin tucked under her hospital sheets.

Then there's Nelson Mandela, Stokley Carmichael, Wesley Cook (aka Mumia abu Jamal), Ruben "Hurricane" Carter, Julian Bond, ... men not worth the ink that's been expended telling us how nobly they've struggled against bigotry and oppression and blah blah blah. Mediocre men who in general are hailed for simply being victims, often of their own stupidity.

Check it out! I got a thank you note from Barack Obama. If he is elected, maybe I have a get out of jail free card. All kidding aside, I’m honored to be acknowledged by someone so important to the future of our country. Also, the Obama campaign asked me to do a poster illustration for sale on their site. I’d put Colin Powell on the list. We didn’t win the Persian Gulf War because of him, we won it in spite of him. Luckily, the leadership of Dick Cheney, Gen. Chuck Horner, and Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf won the day over the stupid crap that Powell was always trying to do. He was a media darling because servicing the press was his full time job. Powell doesn’t have the sack to shoot a woodchuck much less run a war. Bush was right to fire his sorry ass.
