I don't live in a battle ground state but I've noticed a lack of yard signs this year for politicians. Four years ago it seemed that everyone had a yard sign and Obama was everywhere, even here in southern Kentucky. I've seen a few bumper stickers on vehicles over by the university but really haven't seen a lot of them either.
I'm curious if anyone else could tell me if I'm just early or just in the wrong place to see the usual mania that the elections provide.
I keep seeing the polls and wonder if there's so much support then why am I not seeing tangible support for either candidate.
i have no problem with yard signs, but i work in DC and will not have a bumper sticker; as it is i am getting keyed in the garage [i park in the District Building parking lot] and all i can think of is that it’s the prolife plates.
Same here in outer Hamptoon Roads, Isle of Wight County, which is Republican but has quite a few African Americans...
in ‘08, the place was plastered with Obummer signs...
this year, only one on the street corner, not in front of ANY homes....
At a recent Republican meeting here, someone said to put vaseline around the rim of your sign so that the perps will get slimed if they try to take your signs...
hope it helps...
my neighborhood in the cleveland suburbs has never had a lot of signs - maybe one or two going both ways - and I admit I never post signs. It’s been pretty much the same this year ..... with one difference there’s been a chair with a golf club sitting in my front yard for about a month.... ;-)
On I-75 in Florida, there are many large anti-Obama signs. There’s a crane company that has a large Romney sign under a crane which flies the American flag right over the huge sign. Looks good!
Smaller yard signs are 10 to 1 for Romney.
My brother lives in Ventura Co, CA were everyone speaks spanish, is on welfare and pays $5 gas...
his Element has fifty bumper stickers on the back among them is..
OBAMA - One Big Ass Mistake America
he gets flipped off some, lots of thumbs up and every now and then a picture taken of the back while driving...hmmm.
No vandalism yet...after 4 years.
That’s amazing...
number one and only son lives in Alex and I worked for Kyle Mcslarrow way back when against Moron...
that’s something that there aren’t many Obummer signs...wow.
Would you please vote for Romney. Sick of the “Not going to do it” crowd!!! Someone said it best in another thread. “Cant wait for Nov. so I can start on getting Romney out in 2016” little steps friend. Obama must NOT win!
I’m in N CA, and have seen 0 signs for BO or Romney, 1 BO bumper sticker, 3 One Big A Mistake bumper stickers, 2 mexican flags, 6 US flags, 3 grenade decals on trucks (what does that mean?)
Saw a car with a Zero sticker on the rear bumper. I pulled up next to him and yelled at him that he was a racist. He yelled back saying that he had a Zero sticker on his car.
Sure I said...on the rear bumper. You make the black man go to the back of the bus! You racist!
As I drove away I saw him pull over and walk to the back of his car.
What a maroon!
“This complete absence of overt enthusiasm is one of the reasons I dont believe the polls. Even if they werent overtly rigged as they are, I still wouldnt believe them. I choose to believe what I actually see instead of the lying polls and the lying ObamaMedia.”
Exactly! Well said!
See my post on this today...
I love to see that too...when workers put it out there.
Still wish the RNC had arrayed all those great miners that were behind Romney at a rally in WV, at the convention...
damned impressive...missed opportunity.

“Nope. I don’t vote for liberals, of any party. Besides, I’ve been told right here on Free Republic that my vote for the presidential candidate is meaningless.”
This is why Romney wont win. All of a sudden, this year, Republicans get a conscious and wont vote for anyone other than a “real” conservative.
I have a conservative t-shirt & bumper sticker web store, and business is 1/4 of 2008, and 1/2 of the year of the Tea Party.
Until the convention, I sold more Palin tshirts than Romney tshirts.
So obviously, there is little enthusiasm for Romney. BUT, enthusiasm for Odumbo is off even more. Obama stickers are non-existent here in Moonbatchusetts.
The thing is, however ambivalent we are about Romney, we will crawl over broken glass to vote for him. The gimme crowd will stay home.
Besides, a rabid Romney supporter on this site told me that my vote for president was meaningless because Texas is a wrap for Romney.
I don't vote for those that support abortion, are anti-gun, support socialized medicine, are for big government.
I'll vote my my principles, you vote yours.

-—— They have no yard signs and no bumper stickers. None. Zero. I have been told that the entire state is “dry” and that repeated requests from the campaign offices have gone unfulfilled. -——
Terrible for a battleground state.
Heard yesterday that none are available here in MA. You have to pay for them, or go to NH, a battleground state.
I have not seen one here in Phoenix either. Not one.
