Paul Ryans budget plan is reverse Robin Hood proposal aimed at taking from low income Americans and giving to the very wealthiest, a Harvard professor said in a radio interview on Monday.
It is not a deficit reduction program, argued Harvard Professor of Government Theda Skocpol. It is a way to cut taxes on the wealthy and to just slap all of the needs of the poor and low income people under the states and say good luck with that.
Harvard professor Theda Skocpol said in a radio interview that Paul Ryans budget proposal is not a deficit reduction program.
Skocpol predicted that it will quickly be obvious to most Americans that Ryans breathtakingly extreme budget plan is a path to prosperity only for the top five percent.

Haaaaaaaavard...nuff said.
“Skocpol predicted that it will quickly be obvious to most Americans that Ryans breathtakingly extreme budget plan is a path to prosperity only for the top five percent.”
If helping the top 5% prosper helps me prosper, so be it. This class envy has got to stop.
“Ms. Skocpol is an unashamed progressive”
A quote from the NY Times.
No bias here.
Typical. Sounds like she's a typical ‘insulated from reality’ sociologist with Marxist sympathies. She represents the radical fringe - which means she's an Obama supporter.
Theda Skocpol is a political sociologist. I read her books/ papers in grad school in political and sociology courses. Her approach mainly is from Marxism point of view. Didn’t realize that she’s now with Kennedy Government.
Any reference to the Ryan plan should be met with “OK what’s your plan?” Senate Dems have not put forth a plan. New Romney ad should be: Dems condemn Romney/Ryan plan, but Dems won’t put forth a plan. Obamacare response from Pelosi: “We have to pass the health care bill so we can find out what’s in it” New Romney/Ryan ad: “Dems say, you have to elect us to find out what we plan to do”.
Theda Skocpol (born May 4, 1947) is an American sociologist and political scientist at Harvard University.
State autonomy (institutionalism)
State autonomy theorists believe that the state is an entity that is somehow impervious to external social and economic influence, and has interests of its own.
"New institutionalist" writings on the state, such as the works of Theda Skocpol, suggest that state actors are to an important degree autonomous. In other words, state personnel have interests of their own, which they can and do pursue independently of (at times in conflict with) actors in society. Since the state controls the means of coercion, and given the dependence of many groups in civil society on the state for achieving any goals they may espouse, state personnel can to some extent impose their own preferences on civil society

Robin Hood stole from the over-taxing government and gave back to the productive citizens.
I don’t think the guy read the book.
Have any of these morons ever had a real damn job? And for the few that have which of them were employed by poor people.
What in the world is a Theda Skocpol? It sounds like a Soviet gulag.
Can't the educated idiots get anything right?
Now, as for her political opinions, she's a Marxist. Who would expect her to think any other way?!
