Prepper PING!
Thanks, Kartographer.
When I get tired and the dyslexia rares up I get a real kick out of the LSD thread titles.
Thanks for sharing - great find.
I still have one from the early 1970s and well as a ladies relief society (I guess it would be called a supplement) one which dealt with issues that the woman of the house would be more interested in, I use a lot of the information when camping.
Looks well thought out.
Would you mind asking Parrett what the Bishops version is, and do other versions exist?
This is on the forums there,
“”Write to the people originating: there is a LDS version available to Bishops for 15 dollars.””
Useful info from a non-Christian religion.
While it says you should use a valid email address,
if you do not want to be contacted, you can either
use a fake email or use mailinator.com for a disposable
email address.

There’s a lot of good information in that Manual.
Got it; thanks.
I didn’t post this in an effort to promote LDS, but I will admit I admire their tenant of preparedness and I think its a shame that others don’t follow suite.
My own manual was inspired by Chris’ work and gave me the idea to put together my own more generic version to get non-Saints to start taking preparedness seriously and for people who would never look at the LDS Manual because they be worried they might get ‘cooties’. Personally if I am floundering in deep water I and someone throws me a rope I don’t ask what religion they are.
By the way this statement is not meant to anyone specific so no one need take offense.
For those who do not wish to download Chris’ work, my own manual is available at:
http://tomeaker.com/kart/Preparedness1j.pdf
It is much more christian specific, but is not 100% purged of LDS references. Per Freeper Eaker who host my manual it has been downloaded 1000 times just in the past month.
My thought on this is is if I wanted to know about cutting diamonds I go to a Jew, if I want to know about preparedness I go to a Saint.
Thanks! I downloaded it.
Hahaha, so it’s not just me!
Great reference material!
self ping for later download
Thanks very much, Kartographer.
