Fellow Freepers, please pray for a young mother named Debra. Three days ago she suffered placental abruption in her 32nd week of pregnancy. The baby, a little girl, was delivered by c-section and is doing well, but mom is critically ill due to blood loss and organ failure.
Much of this occurred due to some terrible mistakes made in the small town hospital where she delivered her baby, but she has since been flown to an excellent hospital in a nearby city.
She has had her blood replaced 3 times over, has had multiple surgeries, lost 90% of her intestines, is on dialysis, and is facing more surgery in the next few days.
She and her husband have another little girl (4) in addition to the new baby. The grandparents are friends of ours and go to our church.
Please pray! It is a matter of life and death.

What an amazing video! I love the way their faces light up as they look at each other. Even in this economy, Ella won’t have any trouble finding a job. There’s always work for tough gals like her. But she could earn her keep just by lounging around looking cute.
Lord Jesus our God, be near Thy servant Debra in her ordeal and heal her, and bless her children.

Ha, ha, very true! It was such a joy to watch mom and baby together.

Latest update on Debra and baby: Baby is going home soon! My friends, Debra’s in-laws, are going to be caring for her until Debra is released from the hospital. They are happy, of course, but a little nervous about taking care of a tiny preemie. Please pray for them, too.
Debra will be released as soon as they can arrange dialysis for her in the small town where she lives, and her name will be placed on a kidney transplant list. She is also facing more surgery in the future. I’m not sure what kind, but her MIL said it would be reconstructive surgery.
So, the news is mostly wonderful, and again, I thank everyone for their prayers. Please continue to pray for Debra and the baby and for the hurdles they still face. God’s grace is wonderful!

Please give these precious in-laws the strength, wisdom, and peace they need to care for the baby, and may they be richly rewarded every time they hold this beautiful child in their arms. Prepare a brand new kidney for Debra and may she receive this miracle of Your love.
Prayers for the inlaws..I would be so nervous, too..I pray they have a support system there.
May God’s healing hands be on Debrra and give her strength for her journey to health.
