Maybe somebody should call Father Jenkins at Notre Dame and ask him to teach his pal Barack a bit about the religious doctrines Obama professes to believe.
Last Wednesday at a White House Prayer Breakfast Barack Obama took his plan to redesign Christian doctrine up a notch.
To the stunned amazement of onlookers Obama the Muslim trained and educated president challenged the divinity of Jesus Christ. Of course he thought he was clever with his sop to Islam and his finger in the eye pronouncement, but his remarks leave no doubt about his continuing hostility toward the biggest obstacle to Islams world domination: Roman Catholicism.
Comparing himself to Jesus Christ, Obama told his audience, For like us, Jesus knew doubt. Like us, Jesus knew fear. In the garden of Gethsemane, with attackers closing in around him, Jesus told His disciples, my soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. We all have experiences that shake our faith. There are times where we have questions for Gods plan relative to us. But thats precisely when we should remember Christs own doubts and eventually his own triumph.
A professor of theology at a Catholic Catholic university (as opposed to the fake Catholic universities) commented on Obamas remarks saying, My question is what would He be doubting? Would He be doubting the Fathers care and merciful love?
Is He doubting the value of his mission? I dont think there is any real context that I could understand to say Jesus doubted.
Keeping in mind that Muslims dont believe Jesus was divine makes sense of these remarks. Obama was obviously projecting his own doubts about who Jesus was
..
.the Bible does not say Jesus who is God had any doubts. But why would Obama know that?

From what I read in the Bible, Jesus had doubts of his ability to withstand the test he faced. He prayed to the Father for “this cup to pass from him. Yet not my will but Your’s be done.”
There is no indication he doubted God existed or that he was the Son of God.
The sheer arrogance of this man knows no bounds. To believe that he can lecture Christians on religion (and he’s about as good at that as he is Constitutional Law)!
0bama is simply playing to the ignorant for his political purposes. He’s a master at that.
He always relies on the ignorance of most people to push his agenda. The sheep fall for most of it and the media never call him on anything.
OK.
Is there anyone that still thinks he is NOT nuts?
.
Which of course, connotes neither doubt nor fear.
Not only is 0bama an idiot, I'm becoming convinced he doesn't understand simple English.
Jesus wanted the cup to be taken from him because
of the physical and spiritual pain he knew was
coming. By this he identified on his human
side with our fears and doubts about our ability
to make it through tests and trials, but I don’t
think he ever doubted his ability to make it
through because he always knew the power of
his Father.
Jesus had doubts.... But Obama does not.
You are so right. Makes me want to throw up.
There’ a new paradigm shift every time Obama opens his mouth... no one, no philosopher, no political scientist, no theologian, no cartographer, no physicist, no psychologist , no one can map where this man’s thoughts have ranged, and no one can tell where he’ll land his next comments.
“....Jesus had doubts of his ability to withstand the test he faced.”
.
No He didn’t — He predicted His death before it happened.
The die was certainly cast at the Last Supper when He declared that His Body and Blood would be given up and shed for our salvation. No more turning back.
The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus chose a death “He freely accepted”. He was in total charge at all time and let Pilate know it.
PS 0bama is trying to say, “Jesus is no
big deal. He’s just a person like us.
It’s ok to try one of the other faiths
that have a fallible human as its
progenitor.”
Don’t forget: Greeks believe in
Greek exceptionalism, etc., etc.
Jesus was talking about his human nature which does have doubts and limits. Sweating blood in the Garden of Gethsemane—”And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground.” (Luke 22:44)—speaks of a human under heavy strain. The medical word for it is “hematohidrosis”. It can happen when the blood vessels around the sweat glands constrict (due to extreme stress) and then dilate to the point of rupture. The blood is released from the body through the sweat glands.
However, he had divine knowledge, which was stronger—infinitely stronger. Christ did not need to relieve his suffering through a miracle on himself. He knew his mission was to suffer for mankind as a sacrifice for sin. It was in a garden that the first sin was committed. It is in a garden that sin would be redeemed through Jesus’ sacrifice. It is God’s gift to end man’s guilt for his sinful nature—something no other religion acknowledges and something that we can freely receive.
THIS from a man (with no doubts, no doubt), who can recite the Koran in Arabic.
Such a classic American! Wise! Educated! Steeped in American Culture and Tradition!
Good point. Secular humanism
has found its absurd logical
extreme in the person of...
Bar@ck Hu$$ein 0bama
Your comment blessed me. Thanks
Separation of Church and State goes out the window.
I think Obama's knowledge of the events surrounding Jesus' death come from the movie "Jesus Christ Superstar". Do y'all remember the song of Gethsemane?
Good movie, bad theology!
Didn't Obama presume to set himself up as the arbiter of Catholic teaching and practice in his speech at the University of Notre Dame?
