On the facts, an honest conversation about race would quickly dispense with the canard that blacks are habitually persecuted by whites. They are not.

Criminals are White Hispanic, victims are Hispanic.
All you have to do is go find the National Criminal Victimization Survey (I think that is what it is called) put out by the DoJ.
I did this several years ago.
You can look at things like murder rates and other crimes. They do break it down by race, i.e. black on white crimes vs. white on black crimes.
The telling statistic is to normalize the data on a population basis - in other words, what does the data say on a “per capita basis?”
The answer will shock you.
Takes courage to rise above the pack for any group and age. Some have it, some don't, and some want the easy way...there is no easy way.
Victimhood is a scapegoat for many, it excuses the lack of drive and determination....and that has no color difference....but some will surely use it

It's a shame that many good American Blacks will suffer needlessly by this division, but it seems inevitable that a kind of street war is on the way (encouraged by Obama).
And for the record, it isn't racism holding thugs back from achieving economic and social parity. It is the fact that being a thug and hating Whitey is sufficient to destroy any chance of gainful employment.

So the message of my post is somewhat muted.
Hussein is quite interested in driving race relations to the brink. Like all mob leading demagogues (um, gang leaders), he is only interested in creating fear and terror so that his gang can rule the turf.
The intent is simple. Since they can't build anything on their own, they have to terrorize the makers into handing over the goods to them.
Every gang does that. The most successful of them call themselves "governments".
If "American Blacks" were only interested in domestic tranquility and acceptance, they wouldn't be engaging in any of this. The sensible ones would simply pack up and leave - but where to go?
Africa? No air conditioning there. No BMW's. No freebies based on racial grievances.
So they stay here, and continue the intimidation game.

From what I remember from back then ...
Blacks are (or were) abt 12% of the overall population. Black on white crime was about 7x white on black crime.
Normalizing for demographics yielded 49x black on white vs white on black crime.
YMMV. I have not looked at this in several years.

The DOJ is totally disingenuous with crime statistics.
Statistics for those who commit crimes have the Latinos totaled in with Caucasians while the victim statistics have Latinos broken out as their own category.
I heard on Mark Leven’s show last night that of all the white people murdered in 2010 83% were killed by white poeple. Of all the blacks murdered, 90% were murdered by other blacks.
Most did. 90% of Southerners didn't own slaves.
Yet every white, many of whom did not even have ancestors here at the time of the Civil War, is blamed for slavery.

The best explanation for what you bring up is in the book “Bell Curve” by Herrnstein and Murray.
The race problem we face is huge, and it is made more intractable by the inability to talk about it in an honest way.
The authors had some suggestions on how to ameliorate the situation, but they were vilified, demonized and exiled from the human race for their trouble.
For those of you not familiar with the book, I highly recommend it. After you read it, the reality we’re living will suddenly make sense.
Yep here it is--from Pat Buchanan’s “Suicide of a Superpower” the FBI’s crime figures for 2007: “Blacks committed 433,934 violent crimes against whites, eight times as many as the 55,685 that whites committed against blacks...” (Page 243)
the statistics are clear--the average white person has far more to fear from blacks than the average black person from whites. Quite contrarty to the completely false narrative the media and sharptonistas are trying to portray.
