CALIFORNIA mattress store chain SLEEP TRAIN has announced via Twitter that it has pulled its ads from RUSH LIMBAUGH's syndicated PREMIERE NETWORKS show after the host referred to a college student testifying about contraceptive availability as a "slut," then demanded that women on the pill provide sex videos since the government mandates insurance pays for the pill -- comments LIMBAUGH asserted were made as a form of absurd humor.

Even if she was she advertised herself to be - $ 3,000 for her birth control? I will stop there before I get into real trouble (as if i am out of trouble)
I guess that's her choice. Is she militant about it?
The first definition of “slut” in the dictionary is: a promiscuous woman. That is what this woman described herself as, so the term is the truth as it is applied to her. Guess the truth hurts
Rush can afford to pick it up himself. He’ll just start another company.
Wonder if Fluke uses a sleep train mattress in her late night endeavors.
If she does hopefully she has them Scotch Gaurded.
Otherwise, maybe the government should subsidize the mattress industry?
SleepTrain is from Sacramento, and that’s where Rush was b4 he was syndicated. Sac is his “adopted home town”.
This is huge —the SleepTrain guy almost worships Rush.
Rush more or less BUILT SleepTrain —just about all of that guy’s success is owing to Rush.
I am completely shocked, but know Rush will come out fine.
I AM SO DISAPPOINT BY SLEEPTRAIN....!
Quicken loans is a unit of Intuit software company, and Intuit is a big obambi supporter... like all silicon netwits.
The sleep train is nothing compared to select comfort, and i’d wager that original mattress factory will pick it up for cheap time slot money.
Maybe they think Mattress Sandy will make a better spokesperson for their company than the MahaRushi.
Time will tell.
My money says they’ll rue the day they dropped those ads.
Ive listened to Rush for a long time and Ive never heard either of these companies being mentioned on his show. How ironic, a mattress company of all things dropping Rush..maybe Fluke can represent them, she sure knows how to use a mattress!
Spread the word to do business with neither chain. Where’s the national outrage about Maxine Waters calling Boehner and Canton “the devil.”
Sleep Train and Select Comfort had no choice; the issue represents a conflict of interest for them.
Now watch them start advertising a year’s supply of contraceptive with every new mattress purchase.
Dolts.
TWO MATTRESS COMPANIES?!?!?!
My Gawd, the irony!!! rofl
National advertiser SELECT COMFORT, which advertises its SLEEP NUMBER mattresses on the show, has also pulled its ads from the show, tweeting, “Recent comments by RUSH LIMBAUGH do not align w/our values, so we made decision to immediately suspend all advertising on that program.” Neither company’s tweets indicate for how long the suspension of ads will last.

From the article:
Meanwhile, QUICKEN LOANS has indicated that it is not planning to drop its advertising on the show.
I never go to DemocraticUnderground, but check it out..!
They have his whole list of his sponsors, and they’re all piling on, with no real interests or lives, and barraging his sponsors with email and calls.
Fine, but Rush will survive ALL of this, and the smart sponsors will know all of this is acutally good for them....

I guess they don’t remember the Snapple fiasco.
Snapple became a real player in the beverage market with Rush’s support. Then they were bought out by a new owner who canceled advertising on Rush’s show. The business tanked and they lost a fortune.
If Rush ever called for a boycott on any product it would destroy it. Of course Rush is above such a play but his loyal fans might just individually boycott a product.
We too are looking for a Cal-King to replace this really hard mattress we bought six years ago. It felt good until we got the one home, and that night after about fifteen minutes it was like a rock. Horrible mattress, and it cost a fortune. Built it up with layers of foam over the years to where we can get some sleep on it, but still feel broken every morning.
We will definitely scratch Select Comfort from the list of potentials. I don’t know if the other is here in California, but won’t buy there either.
Perhaps Select Comfort and Sleep Train can get the slut Sandra Fluke to do product endorsements for them.
I think Rush people should get on their web site (if they even have one) and let them know how you feel.
That’s fine...
Then I’ll drop them as potential places to shop and spend money..
It’s about the Benjamin, after all...and we can play that game too.
