Prayers for Hard Times
vanity ^ | February 9 2002 | little jeremiah

Posted on 02/09/2012 6:31:51 PM PST by little jeremiah

Many freepers are having hard times; I've heard of some via freepmail, seen comments on threads, and as times get harder, more of us will experience financial hardship, health problems, emotional sorrows of many kinds, family problems - the human condition. I've heard of spouses with chronic terminal illness, members here with chronic, painful and incurable ailemnts; husbands laid off and rent past due, people with relatives who have cut themselves off from contact, and countless other sorrows and problems.

I pray to God that all who seek Him find His shelter. I pray that everyone here finds the means to take care of their necessities, and I pray that the Lord gives the comfort and strength, and peace of mind and wisdom that only He can bring.

Some things have no earthly cure; but holding fast to God is like being in the eye of the hurricane - you know there’s a storm, but in your heart there is a place of peace and safety.

Some of the worst heart pain is seeing those you care about suffering and there is nothing you can do.

May God protect and comfort all who suffer.

2:14

St. Valentine, “buried on the Via Flaminia north of Rome on February 14, he was born on April 16.”

(Source: wikipedia)

Bible verses, 2:14 (KJV)

Luke: Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

2 Corinthians: Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.

1 Corinthians: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

James: What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?

John: And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting

Ephesians: For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition [between us]

On 2/14/2012, at 12 o’clock noon, I wish to request that everyone stop and recite the Lord’s prayer and these verses. If you are in a car, at a stoplight, let traffic wait. If you are at work, stop what you are doing.

We need to get down on one knee, all of us, and pray to God Almighty and tell Him that we do, in fact, love Him, just as He loves us.

One time, years ago, I was in a certain foreign country during a huge strike over oil prices. Truckers with tomatoes, cars, everytbing came to a standstill, and they stalled everything as people tried to get to work.

And, it worked. A few days later, the point was made, changes occurred and people went back to work.

Viva Italia

We can do this here, without crawling on our bellies to the steps of a national government that cuts us to ribbons and the children out of our women.

If it’s good enough for Tim Tebow to get down on one knee in front of God and everybody, it should be good enough for us, too.

Well said, Sir, and I join you in your prayer.

My prayers elsewhere on this forum are most often not for things or events, but rather for exactly what you said above: comfort and strength, and peace of mind and wisdom.

Indeed these are gifts from God, having no Earthly price. May the Grace of God be with you.

Keep praying!! Amen!!

Philippians 4:6-7

"Do not be ANXIOUS-about anything, but IN EVERYTHING, by PRAYER and PETITION , with THANKSGIVING Present your REQUESTS to God. And the PEACE of GOD, which TRANSENDS ALL UNDERSTANDING, WILL GUARD your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

There is So Much in this verse it is Amazing! Reread and Mediate with Action! Do Pray and Do not let up!! This is a doing not a thought only. So important!!

Notice "Peace of GOD, which Transends All Understanding".

You do not have to understand how but will have peace.

How about the word anxious or anxiety. About anything, but in everything by prayer.

If I did not pray at various times during the day I would be a wreck.

But thank God all Mighty I do!!

Take it Day by Day!

Amen!!
