Keep in mind the Social Security Administration does NOT ever re-issue numbers after someone has died. Probably sometime in the future that will happen but it is NOT happening now.

Social Security numbers did not exist until 1935 so how is that possible?

His attorneys can claim someone else applied with those goofy addresses and any deviation from the legal spelling of his name will put another kink in it. It’d be hard to deny he did it if these were issued long before 2008 but proving it is another thing.

Social SEcurity numbers are not a birth certificate. If the man was born in 1890, he would have been in his forties in 1935, and everyone had to get one of the new SS numbers, so...it is possible.

I didn't get one until I was 18, back in the 60's, and I was born in the 40's.

I think the story is that the person was born in 1890, not died in 1890.

Had to research the origins of SS number - after the 1890 date - which clearly is an error. Maybe the individual was born in 1890(???).
