Georgia Judge Michael Malihis refusal to accept President Obamas lawyers demand that he be excused from responding to a subpoenato testify in a hearing questioning his eligibility to appear on that states presidential ballot was denounced by Edward Toady, lead attorney for the president on this case.
The president is the sovereign ruler of this country, Toady asserted. Where he goes and what he does is solely at his discretion. He does not have to answer to the demands of lower ranking authorities. He has what is called sovereign immunity.
On top of this, there is the simple lack of time in the presidents busy schedule, Toady added. The president isnt like ordinary people. He doesnt have a free moment to spare. Every waking hour is already allocated to activities of higher priority. Satisfying some plaintiffs curiosity as to whether he is qualified as a natural born citizen is an unwarranted intrusion on this mans privacy and tries his patience.
Judge Malihi dismissed Toadys claims as unsupported by any evidence or cited legal authority. Im not saying that the contention that a president may not be compelled to attend a court hearing is necessarily incorrect. However, Mr. Toadys contention that the Presidents status of acknowledged leader of the free world makes him immune is an argument without substantive legal foundation. Further, the argument that the President has no time to spare would seem to be refuted by his widely reported indulgences in elective recreational activities. Surely, the resolution of this legal issue could take precedence over another round of golf.
The presidents lawyers say they will appeal Malihis decision to a higher authority. Under our legal system a person has the right to be judged by his peers, Toady observed. Judge Malihi is merely a state court judge. As such, he lacks the stature to sit in judgment of the President. In fact, it is our contention that the President sits on the pinnacle of American government and is without peer. As the highest authority in our government he is the only person who can judge himself. As long as he holds that post no one may presume to tell him what to do.

Blast it John! I almost forgot to check.
Toady. Perfect.
Another head shakin’ chuckler John. Thanks for the ping.
Again, reality is almost impossible to satirize, when reality and satire are almost indistinguishable.
hee hee... almost caught me
this is too close to reality
Let me get this straight, zer0 used to masquerade as a Constitutional law professor, yet he now considers himself a “sovereign”? What more proof that Hussein is setting himself up as Emperor Hussein, Dictator of Amerika!

LOL!!
Since all power and authority is delegated by the People through the Constitution, the President is not a “sovereign” (highest authority.) He cannot rule and the People are never “subjects.” He may govern as delegated in the Constitution.
It would appear entirely appropriate that the Courts may rule on state and federal eligibility requirements for a candidate. If the President does not wish to produce the documents establishing his eligibility, then he should be left off the ballot.
Kind of hard to go back at this point and ask him to prove he was eligible.
All Odumbo has to do, is simply refuse to appear for any number of drummed up reasons. Who will they send to have him arrested? It will throw the whole process into a tizzy, until after the elections. This man-child doesn’t give a rip about the laws.
Just wait until his mug is on the dollar bills and coins of the realm!
A lawyer named “Toady”... now theres something you don’t see everyday..
Note; Toady= A person who tries to please someone in order to gain a personal advantage
They’re a royal PITA.
Does that count?
That right there is so hilarious, I can imagine the LOL moment it brought forth................
Of course it is LOL, I got caught by another “too close to reality” satire...........
Hey Toady...what are you bastards hiding?
You’re sworn to uphold The Constitution.......that overrides ANY individual, including your supposed Teflon client.
You’re not an advocate, you’re a con man, just like your client. And you ought to be disbarred.
This is wrong on so many levels: Americans have leaders, but we are not "ruled". America rejected "sovereign rulers" when we separated from England. Gad! We have a lot of work ahead of us!
Thanks John.
Reading this almost took my breath away...so close to being true!
Thanks for the “story”.
I love to watch for those who get caught by your work.
