none - I like it straight....My recipe for eggnog is (a) give the eggs to the dog. (b) give the milk to the cat (c) drink any liquor you happen to have. Works fine for me.

or, for a special treat, SOUTHERN COMFORT.....Nope, nada, can't do it. Southern Comfort for some reason triggers my upchuck switch.

I pretty much prefer alcohol with frozen water, but if I had to choose I believe rum would be the preferred alcohol to go with eggnog.

Wrong question.
The answer is:
Merry Christmas!

Here you go:
12 eggs, separated
8-10 level tablespoons powdered sugar
1 quart whipping cream, whipped to soft peaks
1/2 cup bourbon
ground nutmeg
with electric mixer, beat egg yolks until pale yellow. add bourbon and sugar set aside. Whip egg whites until just barely stiff; fold gently into custard, Using a large spatula, gently fold whipped cream into custard. Chill until ready to serve. Sprinkle with nutmeg. yield: 12 servings. Have plenty of big pots for this, it grows!!!

Start out with Rum. After imbibing for awhile you can add anything because you won’t notice.

Every year I look forward to imbibing a Malibu rum and eggnog at my sisters Christmas party. It really blends well.

I’ve always seen rum. But frankly eggnog is gross, throw it out, drink the rum straight.
