Prayers up! (’Look under the bed or between the headboard and the mattress’—that’s what mom always said.).

Prayers up.

As an aside, I got over losing my glasses at age 10 after getting a good hiding. It became very important to me to know where they were. I levitated like Houdini. When children are young, their body may learn faster than their mind.

When I was a kid, I once lost a pair of glasses under the back seat of my Mom’s station wagon.

May The LORD God Almighty cause you to find your child’s glasses. In Jesus Holy Name, Amen.

One thing most folks don’t know is that you can order glasses online from places like zinni optical for a tiny fraction of what the chain stores charge. I paid ~$30 dollars shipped and that included extra charges for my extra high power prescription. Your optometrist is required to give you the prescription in most states if you ask. Make sure to ask for the Pupilary Distance measurement as that’s often not provided.

Prayers and a suggestion: If you have a local Lions Club, contact them. They have a program to assist with glasses for kids. Start here:

If he has been playing outside at all, check around where he was playing. I always used to take mine off and lay them on the steps to the porch or in the crook of a tree or bush. I was 8 or 9 at the time, so a 5 year old might not even think to do that and they could be laying in the grass somewhere.

Prayers up.

Make sure he didn’t throw them away on purpose. At his age I was starting to notice any differences between me and the other kids and I can tell you I would’t have been above chucking them down the storm drain (the most forbidding, mysterious place I knew of) if I didn’t like them.
