Governments Request “Contingency Planning for Extreme Scenarios Including Rioting and Social Unrest”
SHTF Plan ^ | 11/27/11

The writing is on the wall. If you can’t read it, then you’re going to have a problem – very soon. It was in early 2009 that we first warned our readers of the coming wave of riots and social unrest that would envelop the globe. Nearly three years on we’re seeing a progressive increase in tension among those affected by deteriorating economic conditions and the trend towards social unrest seems to be accelerating. Absolutely nothing has been resolved in terms of the economic and financial woes facing the world, despite the literally trillions of dollars of wealth in the form of credit and monetary easing that has been committed to the crisis.

As the economic paradigm shifts and hundreds of millions of citizens from the world’s advanced economies are thrown into poverty (including 100 million from the U.S. alone), the situation is getting critical. So much so that what once existed only in the realm of conspiracy theory and alternative news web sites – that governments, especially in the U.S., are planning for large-scale economic meltdown and social unrest – is now a foregone conclusion in political circles.

Be prepared. Be forewarned. Zombies will soon be upon us (especially in the urban sprawls).

none of this ‘just happened’. it’s all been planned and orchestrated for years

there should be congressional investigations and hearings into those involved/responsible for attempting to destroy our nation.

of course, i won’t hold my breath... as many of those involved in organizing and implementing this crap are our government officials themselves

You're going to get all the unsolicited advice you could ever want on which weapon to buy, 'cause we FReepers love our shooters!

But the biggest consideration that should go into making your selection is, which one are you the most comfortable with? A .45 ACP is a great man-stopper, but if you have small hands or if you can't handle the recoil, it's not going to do you much good. Best advice, try a variety of frames and calibers, and buy the one you're most comfortable with. Then buy lots of ammo and spend a lot of time on the range, practicing until you can get consistent head and heart shots at 15-20 yards.

Enjoy!

Every politician in D.C. knows this is coming. And they’ve been stashing cash for years. And those who go to D.C. to try to change things are told to shut the hell up or they will be destroyed. Otherwise why is there not one tea party candidate screaming to high Heaven about the corruption? They find out just what they’re up against so they decide to cash in, too.

Donna, Consider a Remington 870 and get some 00 buckshot shells. Cabela's had them on sale for 3.90 for 5 shells recently. The Cheaper than dirt website usually has bargains as well. Good luck!

My experience with the .45 (at a US Army qualification) was that it has a very soft recoil for its size. I fired it and the German 9mm pistol, and found the 9mm to have a sharp, short kick, whereas the .45 had more of a strong “push” than a kick. Accuracy was a different story though, as the 9mm was quite accurate, but the .45 was all over the map (though it was pretty old, and well-used).

A 12Ga is an awfully big piece for someone only 5’ 3” and 116lb. Granted that ammo is plentiful and cheap, and it will do what Donna wants.

Donna, if you do get a 12ga, get one with a synthetic full stock. 12ga shotguns have a mighty kick, and you’ll want as much surface area to hang on to as possible, while the synthetic will keep it lighter than wood does. Also, I can’t count the number of times I’ve seen people holding rifles and shotguns in such a way that the gun angles out from their body at 45 degrees. At your size especially, the shotgun should be held sideways across your body, with the butt of the stock firmly in the pocket created at your shoulder when held that way.

In that position, when you fire, the gun will be pushing you against your trigger-side leg, making it easy to brace against. Holding the gun out at an angle from your body will cause it to push you back on your butt, which means you would only get one shot before you’re on the ground.

A shotgun is a terrific home defense choice regardless of your size. Being on the smaller side, you might consider a 20 gauge instead of a 12. There are plenty of premium defense loads for 20’s that will kill em just as dead as a shoulder crushing 12 gauge.

You’ve received some good comments on the guns, you might also look at the mossbergs. Good guns and inexpensive. Do not get one without a full stock. The shotguns with only a hand grip look cool in the movies but most people don’t have the strength to use them. 12ga with tactical loads are management for my wife who is your size. 20ga is a little lighter.

Don’t forget some training and practice. I’m also in Florida and while nobody has taken shots at my house yet I’m sure its coming as soon as I put a sign out for a non-leftist.

Thanks for the ping Kart!

I've been accelerating my preps. I fear time is getting very short.

Folks, keep it simple. THINK about your situation and plan accordingly.

I've been making lists of stuff I use every day. Whenever I buy something like laundry detergent or coffee, I buy two and stash one away. Been doing this for a while, it really adds up. I'm running out of room.

Another thing that's very important. Physical fitness and training (weapons training). Before hunting season started I would hike (carrying my rifle) 3-5 miles through the woods. Not easy, especially bushwacking. This activity also helps me monitor activity in remote areas of the property.

If our corrupt gov’t is preping for a collapse, we should be as well. The writing has been on the wall for quite some time now.
