But the biggest consideration that should go into making your selection is, which one are you the most comfortable with? A .45 ACP is a great man-stopper, but if you have small hands or if you can't handle the recoil, it's not going to do you much good. Best advice, try a variety of frames and calibers, and buy the one you're most comfortable with. Then buy lots of ammo and spend a lot of time on the range, practicing until you can get consistent head and heart shots at 15-20 yards.
