"The U.S. Air Force Academy has pulled out of a Christian-sponsored childrens toy drive after commanders were accused of religious intolerance."

That doesn’t make any sense. Christmas is a CHRISTIAN holiday!
Is there a nice word for “Cowardice”?
But they TEACH the ‘five pillars’ of islam.
Funny. The one thing you can see from I-25 is the iconic AF Academy Chapel. It stands out... pathetic is an understatement.
Muslims are only interested in one pillar.
Obama strikes again...
If you ever have an opportunity to use LOGIC in a discussion with a Muslim who embraces Sharia Law, please let me know how that turns out for you.
Thanks
I suppose Toys for Tots will be next.
Exactly. PC acadumbic knuckleheadism has infected the service academies.
How nice, we have cowards running the military...muslums will be jumping with joy....The one that made that decision should be retired or thrown out on his/her bony arse...
I guess the military brass HAS lost their collective cahoneys
“Into the air, junior birdmen!”
“Into the air, upside down!”
(Ancient Air Force song.)
WWGCEL say?
General is a clue? Cigar, if you need more.
Can you say “Fire Bomb”?
That may be the case, but we are rapidly becoming a muslim country.
Just look around yourself.
this nation is doomed...
Actually, in this case, there is a conflict of interest that is normally handled by the Chaplain’s Corps. They have long kept the line between sectarianism and acceptable behavior in the military, and have done so despite the efforts of those inside and outside of the military to inject sectarianism into the military. Who usually protest loudly when they are caught breaking the rules.
In this case, getting and sending the gifts was fine, and even as Christmas gifts would be acceptable, if sent to Christian children or non-Christian children, who with their families were willing to accept gifts based in a Christian holiday.
However, what was not okay, was for this Christian organization to insert sectarian messages with the gifts. And it would have been a problem many years ago as well, had one Christian sect attempted to send the children of a different Christian sect toys with religious doctrines of the first sect only in them. That would have also created heartburn.
In past, I have seen a senior chaplain relieved, because while giving what was supposed to be a non-denominational invocation before a mixed group of military, he could not resist inserting sectarian dogma, which he made much worse by asserting that it was military policy.
So this gift giving event was probably not completely offensive, just a small part of it. And by turning it over to the Chaplain’s Corps, they would delete what elements that were unacceptably sectarian.
If PC makes you sick, please don’t visit the AF Academy home page. The whole damned place is overrun with sweetness and light, including the Superintendant, a politico with no combat experience, Lt. General Michael C. Gould. I plan to follow that name, and can only hope that he will soon retire.
