[history]
Today, millions of smart, hard working Americans are flipping burgers, waiting tables or working dead end retail jobs not because they want to, but because they have no other options. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, about 14 million Americans are currently unemployed and another 9.3 million Americans are currently "underemployed".

There are thousands of good jobs available in the Northern Tier of Pennsylvania, due to the rapid expansion of the gas fracking industry.
There is a sampling here at sungazette.com
http://jobs.sungazette.com/jobs/searchresults.aspx
Not only are there jobs directly in the industry, but hundreds of auxiliary services are looking for good employees.
Truck drivers are especially in demand. And after so many locals have left other driving jobs to join companies like Anadarko, Chief, and Halliburton, guess what? Their old companies need replacements: Susquehanna Trailways; Citybus; local delivery businesses, etc.
In the gas industry, truckers start at $40,000 and can make as much as $70,000 a year. Most companies offer a generous benefits package.
I urge anyone who has the ability to look into these jobs, as well as secretarial, receptionist, food service at the camps, etc.etc.etc.
This is a real boom area, folks. No kidding.
And it is gorgeous country with moderate housing prices and excellent schools, public and private.

I seem to remember Wm Black telling the Icelanders not to pay back the IceSave deposits because it was the banks, not the Icelandic people who guaranteed those deposits.

You obviously did not read the post I was responding to.
So, your comment has no context.
Please read what others are responding to, first.
It was post #69, it is well written, and is accurate.
If you wish to go look for others who are crying, go look somewhere else. Keyboard bully with no sense.

Socialism is the last chance for those who are parasites. Once socialism brings this country down, we will reset and start over. Its the reset that will hopefully clean up this country for those of us who planned ahead.BUMP!

From what I can find its an MLK quote but I'm not sure he was the first. I think it may be from further back in history but I like it no matter who said it.
Another favorite.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Preach it, sister! That is so true. I am one of the “underemployed” but the job means a regular pay check and health insurance.
I consider myself blessed. (I think I’m a good employee, too.)

BTW - can anyone explain to me why we should pay INCOME TAXES if the Fed can just print dollars off the printing press? Exactly! It works for Zimbabwe.

He thinks a bank with a $100 deposit can make a $900 loan.
He thinks banks don't want you to repay the loan.
He thinks loans have zero risk for the banks, because they created money out of nothing.
He thinks when a bank buys a government bond, it's inflationary.

A good employee is worth his or her weight in gold. Are you kidding? Tens of millions of good employees have been dumped like yesterdays garbage. You clearly are not paying attention to current events or this article.

Have any of these drama queers ever though of coming up with a good idea and starting their own business? Earn your first place ribbon, dumbass!
You just called tens of millions unemployed and underemployed Americans drama queens and dumbasses..
Did it ever occur to you how extremely difficult it is for someone without a job or financial means, just to pay their rent, let alone start a GD business?
Maybe in your pollyanna world, tens of millions of businesses will start up next month, all developed and produced by unemployed people with no money.
Good thinking!
