Thanks, Diana, also for the Lawrence Auster link. To be honest, Qaddafi’s death doesn’t just leave me cold. It leaves me feeling sick to my stomach. And I think I will be feeling sick for many days to come.
As Lawrence Auster correctly says, we killed him. There is no way that the erstwhile “rebels” would have ever defeated him or captured him without our hellfire missiles and the French Mirages. Actually, they probably could have done without the Mirages. Despite all of Sarkozy’s preening, it was American military might that brought down Qaddafi and handed him over to the lynch mob that killed him. I don’t know if you have seen this video yet. If not, take a deep breath before you do. If Americans are not revolted by such behavior, then we have ourselves descended into total barbarism.
There is one further point re. Qaddafi’s relationship with the United States – my apologies if I’ve mentioned this before and I’m repeating myself. Actually, there are reasons to doubt Libyan responsibility for both the Berlin disco bombing and the Lockerbie bombing.
Re. the Berlin disco bombing, I think most Americans don’t realize that the bomber was in fact German. She was tried and convicted. She had been married to a Palestinian guy who is alleged to have had contacts with Libyan intelligence – though she was no longer even married to him at the time that she planted the bomb.

Like it or not, Kadaffi (who knows how it spelled!) kept a group of warring tribes from each others’ throats, through bribery and intimidation. We’ll see what the new overlords do to keep peace; we’ll see if France and Italy get their oil, or if sabotage puts a damper on that.
Every tin horn like hugo chavez, assad,castro,and them saudi punks etc are a little uncomfortable today.

The US has had a defense agreement with Saudi for a long time — even before Saudis decided to bring down the WTC towers.
Expect American blood to be spilled if the sh*t were to hit the fan(s) in order to keep the king, princes and princesses in their palaces in a life of opulence.
Of course, should the Saudi population be successful in ousting the royal family, you can expect its members to build their palaces right here in America.
So have various communist dictators, Tito in Yugoslavia for one.

Take Saudi oil off the market and THEN see what happens... Our ‘allies’ in Europe will be in deep doo doo. Serves them right.
I pity our fine Military for being sworn to follow the orders of this CiC... I do not blame them in any way. I blame obama and every leftist serving in our government... official or otherwise. obama is a murderer. I am ashamed that this evil and illegal intervention happened in our name. kadaffy deserved death for his evil... but he deserved justice under the laws of man. Revenge is GOD’s domain.
