Reporting from Washington and Sacramento— A suspected embezzlement scheme that has ensnared hundreds of campaign accounts of Democrats has sent candidates scrambling for new cash as they prepare for an election season that could reshape California's political landscape.
Just when they need to start hiring staff and commissioning polls, many candidates have no idea how much might have been taken from them or how much they have left, and they cannot find out: As many as 400 political accounts have been frozen by the banks holding the funds since the Sept. 2 arrest of treasurer Kinde Durkee.

U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, who is up for reelection next year, had about $5 million in her campaign accounts when Durkee was taken into custody. The wealthy senator’s aides have said she plans to put an equal sum of her own money into her campaign.

How is a candidate running in opposition to Feinstein supposed to have a chance of getting elected, when she has 5 million dollars in her campaign kitty at the start and they have nothing.
Now she has vowed to put 5 million of her own money up. How did Feinstein get that rich?
Do we really need people who are that rich in Washington, making laws that we poor schmucks have to obey?
How do these lawmakers come into that kind of money? No wonder they want to be in Congress.We are being governed by rich people. No wonder the laws favor the rich. Then they accuse Republicans of being the party of the rich.

We need patriots in the Congress, not these rich elite SOB’s that fill it now. Problem is , if you aren’t rich , your chance’s of being elected are pretty slim.

Yeah, the permanent political class – they’re doing just fine. Ever notice how so many of them arrive in Washington, D.C. of modest means and then miraculously throughout the years they end up becoming very, very wealthy? Well, it’s because they derive power and their wealth from their access to our money – to taxpayer dollars. They use it to bail out their friends on Wall Street and their corporate cronies, and to reward campaign contributors, and to buy votes via earmarks. There is so much waste. And there is a name for this: It’s called corporate crony capitalism. This is not the capitalism of free men and free markets, of innovation and hard work and ethics, of sacrifice and of risk. No, this is the capitalism of connections and government bailouts and handouts, of waste and influence peddling and corporate welfare. This is the crony capitalism that destroyed Europe’s economies. It’s the collusion of big government and big business and big finance to the detriment of all the rest – to the little guys. So, do you want to know why the permanent political class doesn’t really want to cut any spending? Do you want to know why nothing ever really gets done? It’s because there’s nothing in it for them. They’ve got a lot of mouths to feed – a lot of corporate lobbyists and a lot of special interests that are counting on them to keep the good times and the money rolling along.

She's obviously been the perfect trainer for them, teaching them all she knows about embezzling, which my guess is a Democratic national past time. That is starting with billions and billions from the "stimulus" money and also from funds that were suppose to go to disasters, especially Haiti's money. Only The LORD knows just how much money world wide has been smuggled by the one world Obama cartel. My best guess is the amount is astounding.
They probably don’t start off rich but become rich on our dime or dollor or millions of dollars or whatever.
