I dont get why we care? so what if they say they are a state. Maybe then they would act like one.
A lot of Israel’s oil and gas and potential oil and gas in the Mediterranean would be in Palestine’s territorial waters.
To compare Palestinians to the Polish people is a real insult to Poland and the Polish.
Seriously, if you don’t know we should care, maybe you need to come out of your mommies basement and try to understand the real world
The second the UN ratifies the PA as a “state” the ME explodes
It would become the number one terrorist haven and training ground in the world, right next door to Israel.
but not only do they want to be a “state (i.e. a nation!)”, they want UN membership status! Which would mean any Israel retaliation would drag that useless organization even further into the mix.
we created a nation that never previously existed.
Because it isn’t their land. Most Palestinians are refugees from the Lebanon and Syria civil wars as well as infiltrators from neighboring countries using Israel as a political football.
Them becoming a state would be akin to illegals here declaring that half of Texas belongs to them.
There Is No Palestinian State

Please don’t hesitate to join the thread you started.
Palestine was named by Augustus Caesar and it actually occupied a lot of what we call Lebanon and Syria.
If the Palestinians would agree to live peacefully, and developed their oil potential, Israel would benefit vastly from this oil, even if not a drop of it came from their territory. So again, it is the Palestinian mania to destroy Israel that is the only think holding these people back.

That’s why I didn’t do it. I mentioned Poland as an example of a nation literally being extent, ceasing and being extent again. Nations are largely artificial creations.
Yes, I think this is the most important of all the observations on this thread.
If the Palestinians become a state (separated from Israel of course) then they will have to start acting like one. If they keep doing what they have been doing, the Israelis would have every right under international law to invade, conquer, and ANNEX them. (They should have done this with the West Bank in 67,IMHO)
Everything I said was true. Nations come and go. A group of people can create nationhood very deliberately. It’s happening in Greenland right now, for instance.
People can’t just declare themselves a state. That would be like the Tea Party declaring themselves an American state and expecting to have the rights of a state. Palestinians live in Israel, and until Israel agrees to be divided into states including a Palestinian state, there are no states. Also, the Palestinians want a vote in the UN after declaring statehood. No way.
It was comparing American history to the current Palestinian/Israel situation that is insane. For so many reasons it’s not even worth taking this any farther.
I hate when someone clueless starts a thread then never engages in it...... =.=
God gave the Jews that land. In fact, the borders which He gave them was much larger than what they end up with today. He IS going to settle that situation suddenly and decisively. After He does, and people ask why that happened; tell them John 3:16.
That’s why I care. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem; but the Palestinians (Muslims) lob rockets over on to Israel from new borders every time Israel gives up “land for peace”. When Israel dares retaliate, Israel is condemned by the rest of the world.
The Turkish/Code Pink flotilla against Israel’s blockade of Gaza is an example of the split personality that Israel must contend with that makes absolutely no common sense.
Israel is an example of people being productive and innovative. The blood pressure drugs I take were researched, developed and produced in Israel. The list of Jewish advances in science, medicine and other categories is a long one. The list of “Palestinian/Muslim” advances in science, medicine and other categories is about two inches long.
Yet, our President and others pretend otherwise.
