ANN Coulter + LAURA Ingraham = PALIN ENVY
9/8/2011 | vanity

Posted on 09/08/2011 10:46:53 AM PDT by CondoleezzaProtege

Ann Coulter + Laura Ingraham = two Ivy League BA holding women w/ law school degrees who at some point in their life, likely dreamt of holding high political office (Coulter almost ran for Congress in Connecticut!)--but neither had the courage to challenge the old boy establishments of which they hail from, so they instead "followed the rules of the system" (as ivy leaguers are trained to do) and settled for the sole outlets by which feminist-minded women (the conformist breed of feminist) can gain the kind of stature they were desiring:

This meant settling for something "easier" and less adventurous aka: professional punditry and criticism, sitting on the SIDELINES of the arena, while catering to heartland audiences all while "living the elitist" life they supposedly decry and stand above (both are notorious for DATING liberal, PRO-ABORTION, elite MEN. Ingraham dated Keith Olbermann, Ann Coulter dated liberal NY Congressman Andrew Stein.)

Did they offer valuable insight and contributions to the conservative movement? OF COURSE! Are their writings worthwhile reading? SURE! Do they have some honest convictions behind what they say? Absolutely.

BUT at the end of the day, they are WOMEN, trained to believe in ever-so-limited roles for influence. SARAH PALIN threatens their STATUS. Yes, the free-spirited woman from Alaskan wilderness, with a husband of 25 years, 5 children with a Down's Syndrome one to boot, and an actual RECORD of *TANGIBLE* ACCOMPLISHMENT -- not just an archive of commentary written behind a desk in a nicely lit Manhattan apartment! YES. OF COURSE, they resent Palin -- however subconscious this resentment may be.

Their whole lives have been defined by working within the system--never truly challenging it. ANd here coems Saintly True-Christian, Naturally Pretty, Provocative (in a non sexual way) and Controversial without even trying--> Sarah from Wasilla with a journalism degree from podunk, Idaho (ironic isn't it? No J.D. like the others?), and she actually has risen ABOVE the system and demolished the strongholds of the very old boy networks Ingraham and Coulter have kissed up to their whole lives, with their ever well-maintained blonde hair and carefully lotioned legs.

As the years pass them by, their looks harder to maintain, and the landscape of the media changes, the last thing they would want is someone to outshine their "starpower" roles within the conservative movement and its legacy. You betcha they don't want Palin to be President. She steals all the attention!

Palin has been brought to honor by GOD for "such a time as this" and the people of the world feel shamed and confounded. 1 Corinthians, Chapter 1 at work people. READ IT!

People who are well aware of their own failures, even those no one knows about and especially those related to their personal life rather than their work life, have a major emotional problem when they see anyone else not having the same sort of personal failures.

I've met more than a few women who admit that they won't be happy until Palin is caught at something, anything, they can use say she's just playing a role and not really what she appears to be. Palin is the sort of "girl" who the other "girls" have been jealous of ever since their pre-teen years and they don't change that attitude over mere politics or what's good for the nation. It's an emotional hangup, not anything the talking head types are going to admit to.

Amen to what you said!

I’ve always liked Coulter and Ingraham but have drifted away from them for awhile now,Coulter especially. I used to look forward to Wednesdays to read her new column. It’s been months now since I’ve bothered to read even one. I’ve started on a few but couldn’t seem to finish them. Either I’ve changed or she has lost her edge, not sure which.

I did see their exchange sitting in for O’Reilly and it was awful. I’m not a fan any longer.

I used to say that Coulter was great live, but her books and articles sucked. Well, either she got herself a good ghost writer or matured, because her wrighting now is wonderful. The books as well as the articles.

And she is still DEADLY in live interviews. What I find comical is that to this day the only live comment liberals can come up with to attack her is the Canada/Vietnam gaffe. And it was not so much a gaffe as a confusing statement. And after the hundreds of hours upon hours of recorded live material that is pretty impressive.

Well Ann got one thing very wrong though. Saying that pundits have hesitated to criticize Palin because of her supporters. Everyone must have missed that memo because the criticism has never stopped in three years. There is a war going on for our nation. It would be nice if folks would quit the “catty carping” and get in the boat and row with us to liberty and stomping out tyranny.

I couldn't have said it better. Ann has blazed trails where many conservatives fear to tread. She's had a pie thrown in her face, and been attacked by the left for as long as I can remember.

I don't see Palin entering the race. She's having far too much fun leaving tidbits for her bots to grovel after. The money ain't bad either.

I agree with Palin on nearly every issue. I also agree with most of what Ingraham and Coulter stand for. I personally don't see any envy issue from them. They are both highly successful in their own right by virtue of where they both are in their lives and their accomplishments. None too shabby for either of them.

That’s interesting, because I’ve always liked her articles and I think her best book was GODLESS which was a laugh out loud scream. But she is great live too.

And to the point, I have witnessed moments with Palin, Coulter and Ingraham that made me proud they were on our team - and seen them all have moments where they were very impressive in expressing conservative principles and arguments.

And they all have made me cringe as well. Ingraham and Coulter with some of their Palin comments and obsession with Chrisite - and Palin with her “union brothers and sisters” comments.

Seems like a lot of folks insist on worshipping or hating folks. I tend to be somehwere in the middle on everybody. Including all three of the folks in this scenario.

This might be why Sarah Palin and Michell Bachman would have a hard time winning the General Election.

Lots of women ARE jealous of them and this WILL influence their vote. If even Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter are jealous, what do less accomplished and mushy moderate women think? And we need at least some of these women’s votes. We have to acknowledge the influence of pop culture and various “group-thinks” on the actual election.

I understand Coulter speaks at colleges, and to correct my impulsive comment above, I’m sure she has endured risk.

But for Coulter to completely ignore the cutting edge quality of Palin’s current platform is, in the context of our dire national circumstances, to negate her own history of fighting for conservatism.

Palin has called for the elimination of corporate taxes.

Palin advocates getting rid of the permanent political class.

Coulter’s ignorance of Palin’s ideas—most if not all of which will be required in order to save our country—is politically unforgivable.

Why is it only women who have to answer for the politics of the men in their lives?

Does anyone question James Carville’s liberal bona fides even though he’s married to Mary Matalin? Never.

You are fomenting the very sexism you claim to be decrying.

As a huge Coulter fan as well as a Palin fan I have been waiting since the time Sarah came on the scene to see how long it would take before the "green eyed monster" reared it's ugly head.

In keeping with what I’ve learned (or relearned) as a Palin supporter, Ann Coulter should be loved and respected as a sovereign individual created and loved by God.

But her comments about Palin are politically destructive and intellectually shallow.

I would hold a conservative MAN up to the same standard yes. James Carville is not conservative. I doubt Mary Matalin has been as vocal about abortion as Laura and Ann. She always struck me as moderate.

You’re having an argument with no one. I think we all agree Ann has been out of line on Palin. That’s a face.

Ann’s incredible contributions to our cause is too. Why can’t we leave it at that? If I might be so bold, there seems to be some jealousy among Palin’s hardcore supporters that us conservatives might love another.....as well as Sarah.

I LOVED the “union brothers and sisters” comment.

I also loved Godless. It was the first of her books I actually BOUGHT. Great read. That was actually when I changed my opinion on her writing ability.

Did I say “wrighting” in a previous post? Wow...

I wish I hadn't this time. Please tell me what good is accomplished by publishing this pap. It's bad enough fighting our enemies. Why do people give them aid and comfort by writing this kind of ____ and putting it out for all to see? Do they think we need somebody else to tell us what to think?
