Thanks. Good source of info; both pro and con.
What??? Only 17?
I am so sick of this already.
I saved the article and will review it.
However, I have this to say about Perry. He speaks and sounds like W. Too easy for the libs to pick up on.
Also, when he stood on the hay bale at Ames the other day, he comes across with his posture as if he’s saying “I’ve got the biggest d*** here!”
I find him offputting.
Read everything on the first page and will read the other link later (have to go to work).
He is right and very accurate. Common Sense and Facts.
It was refreshing to read something about Perry that is not made up, spun or details left out.
Kudos shield for posting that link.
Great article shield. Thanks
This will be passed along many times.
I can't get too upset about the Gardasil because mandatory school vaccinations have been common in this country since the 1950's. I can understand the controversy, but if we are to continue sending our children to the socialized school system, health protections are necessary, and Perry's explanation that he wanted to reduce its cost are plausible.
The Trans-Texas Corridor was a staple of discussion at FR for a couple years. Now, since I don't believe that an American Union was ever really in the offing, I see the TTC only as the type of big infrastructure project everyone would have applauded 50 years ago (think Interstate Highways).
Thanks again. These are important issues and this was a reasoned article.
Good work finding and posting this link;) Thank you.
The author touches on most of the issues and gives both sides, but then appears to be an apologist for Perry.
As a well-informed Texan who has voted for Perry for years and knows the issues, I assure you that there are both inaccuracies and missing facts in this article.
Probably written by Perry staff and, if so, good move.
This is a GREAT reference source for the truth to combat the confabulations of the libs when they rev up their frightened smear.
That Rove ‘gently’ denigrates Perry is very revealing. Perry and GWB are not ‘allies’.
That could be his biggest problem.

good info, thanks for posting
But where does Perry stand on chupacabra's in Texas? If he believes in them (I have heard that he spotted one getting on a UFO just outside Haskell), I don't think I could vote for him.;-)
Except the Gardasil program is still alive and well. The author said he’d read articles and that’s the basis of his research. Sorry, bub, that’s not good research skills.
Yes, Gardasil is alive and well and didn’t go away. It is being shipped to public schools, the school nurse sends out notices to parents, and parents (of any income - high or low) can have their daughters vaccinated for FREE! Yes, free! Who would pass up something for free? Free taxpayer provided school breakfast (to any income). Free taxpayer provided school lunch (supposedly to low income but no one verifies). And free taxpayer provided school shots (to any income level). Folks, it didn’t just magically pop up at public schools on the taxpayers’ dime.

What about this? Perry’s own words, he want’s an open border between us and Mexico.
President Foxs vision for an open border is a vision I embrace, as long as we demonstrate the will to address the obstacles to it. An open border means poverty has given way to opportunity, and Mexicos citizens do not feel compelled to cross the border to find that opportunity. It means we have addressed pollution concerns, made substantial progress in stopping the spread of disease, and rid our crossings of illicit drug smuggling activity. Clearly we have a long way to go in addressing those issues. At the same time we must continue to deepen our economic ties, expanding opportunities for Mexican and U.S. companies to do business on both sides of the border. The outlook is promising, even if the road to prosperity is a long one. We share a bond as neighbors, and we find our culture north of the Rio Grande to be increasingly defined by the strong traits of people of Hispanic descent. Texas has long enjoyed a unique identity, an identity forged by an independent spirit, and the convergence of many different peoples. We must welcome change in the 21st Century as we have in every century before it.
