Confessions of a Birther Evangelist
American Thinker ^ | July 30, 2011 | William Lolli

Posted on 07/30/2011 12:43:11 PM PDT by opentalk

I am an information technologist by trade and a Birther evangelist by proclivity. When discussing or debating the Birther issues with a newbie, in addition to a transfer education in law, the Constitution, the jurisprudencial system, and history, I frequently am a witness to the real-time acting out of the Kübler-Ross behavioral model of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

For the duration of the discussion, the political spectrum orientation of the listener doesn't seem to matter, since the topical reactions and counter-bullet points are always the same. The debates are never linear, but desultory.

...Most people mildly exposed to Birther issues are stuck in the denial stage. However, anger erupts once the message sinks in that Barack Obama's April 27, 2011 LFBC (long-form birth certificate) is forged, that multiple criminal acts have been perpetuated, and that both political parties and all branches of government are culpable.

That would have to be a really, really uniformed person. Anyone who recalls John G. Roberts swearing in Obama, then addressing Obama as “Mr. President”, is likely to doubt that you understand the Constitution better than does the Chief Justice of the United States.

Yes, the Pope knows the Solar System better than does Galileo, notwithstanding the fact that the pope didn't even study the issue on which he is opining.

I'm pretty sure Roberts and all the other Judges of the Supreme court, (and for that matter the entire federal judiciary) have not done an in depth study of this little cul-de-sac of Constitutional law. They are probably simply accepting what idiot Lawyers who like to quote from Blackstone have been saying rather than checking for themselves what is really the truth. Slaves and Indians were not citizens, and that fact alone blows the entire "Jus Soli" argument to pieces.

And what if they don’t take your word for it, and actually go the library or bookstore and look it up? “Natural born citizen. Persons who are born within the jurisdiction of a national government, i.e. in its territorial limits, or those born of citizens temporarily residing abroad.” — /Black’s Law Dictionary/, Sixth edition.

Yes, and "Faggot" means a bundle of Sticks, and ONLY that. Pull the other one.

Nawwww...I like it here. However, there are plenty of birther discussion websites where you can openly mock the “optimization theories” with the resounding approval of fellow believers. High-fives will abound. Try it. It'll be fun.

I can only assume you didn’t read the case you cited. It has no relevance to the facts in Obama nor does it have anything to do with benefitting from fraud.

"So, despite all the so-called graphics experts, the evidence that Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii is nonexistent."

It's funny, that's actually the position Jerome Corsi took in his book.

In his autobiography, Dreams from My Father, Obama lays out a scenario of his nativity story that makes it unlikely he could have been born in Africa.

To maintain that Obama was born in Kenya, it would have to be proved against the story Obama tells in Dreams, that a pregnant eighteen year-old university student—long before the age of easily accessible and affordable international travel—journeyed from Hawaii to remote Africa to visit the family of a man whose father reportedly was angered by his son’s marriage to a white woman, where she had the baby, then turned up weeks later in classes at the University of Washington in Seattle.

On March 27, 2007, reporter Tim Jones told a version of the Obama nativity story in the Chicago Tribune that buttressed the story Obama told in Dreams.

And

Dismissing the story as just another “birther myth,” Koppelman explained that “people who believe in a conspiracy theory simply hear what they want to hear.”

Although no documentary evidence has yet established Barack Obama was born in Kenya, the rumors and speculation continue to fly.

But then on the radio he says that he believes Obama was born in Kenya. Even though his own book acknowledges there's no evidence for it.
