Confessions of a Birther Evangelist
American Thinker ^ | July 30, 2011 | William Lolli

Posted on 07/30/2011 12:43:11 PM PDT by opentalk

I am an information technologist by trade and a Birther evangelist by proclivity. When discussing or debating the Birther issues with a newbie, in addition to a transfer education in law, the Constitution, the jurisprudencial system, and history, I frequently am a witness to the real-time acting out of the Kübler-Ross behavioral model of denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.

For the duration of the discussion, the political spectrum orientation of the listener doesn't seem to matter, since the topical reactions and counter-bullet points are always the same. The debates are never linear, but desultory.

...Most people mildly exposed to Birther issues are stuck in the denial stage. However, anger erupts once the message sinks in that Barack Obama's April 27, 2011 LFBC (long-form birth certificate) is forged, that multiple criminal acts have been perpetuated, and that both political parties and all branches of government are culpable.

Sheeesh...what is it with birthers and humor?

Just as country music, beer and remote viewing were meant as a joke...so was InspectorSmith...ya’know...the convicted forger with the “real” Kenyan birth certificate?

I've never been to fogbow. You overestimate your cleverness if you think you could get me to reveal my “secret identity” by simply asking me to on a public forum. I mean really...think how absurd that sounds.

I've consistently said I consider birtherism a threat to advancing serious conservatism. I haven't seen anything to change that attitude.

The US Supreme Court approvingly cited the following summary of the "de facto officer" doctrine (Norton v Shelby County 118 US 425 (1888)):

"An officer de facto is one whose acts, though not those of a lawful officer, the law, upon principles of policy and justice, will hold valid, so far as they involve the interests of the public and third persons, where the duties of the office are exercised:

...Under color of a known election or appointment, void because the officer was not eligible, or because there was a want of power in the electing or appointing body, or by reason of some defect or irregularity in its exercise, such ineligibility, want of power, or defect being unknown to the public." (emphasis added)

I suppose your argument must be that the public "knows" he is ineligible.

But that is not true. We don't know if he is eligible or not. He has been hiding the evidence.

Is he ineligible because one of his parents was not a citizen, making him not a "natural born citizen" as a matter of law? WE DON'T KNOW. The Supreme Court has never directly ruled on what "natural born citizen" means for purposes of the eligibility clause. If I had to bet on how today's Supreme Court with four liberals and a squishy moderate would rule, I wouldn't bet on it going our way.

Is he ineligible because he was born outside the United States to a US citizen who was not old enough at the time under the statute such that Obama would have qualified as a citizen? WE DON'T KNOW. It appears from what numerous experts have said that what he has offered as a long-form birth certificate is phony. But where exactly was he born, was it inside or outside the United States? Who knows? I don't, and I have been following the questions swirling around his birth more closely than 99.99% of the American public.

Is he ineligible because he was adopted by an Indonesian national as a child gaining dual-citizen status, and then affirmed that as an adult for example by obtaining an Indonesian passport, thus losing his US citizenship and eligibility for president? WE DON'T KNOW. He has refused to release any relevant records and the mainstream media refuse to investigate the matter.

So no, the public doesn't "know" he is ineligible, even today.

To really simplify it, one can just tell the uninformed person that O’s father being a foreigner makes him ineligible. We know that alone makes him a usurper. Then the person can be told the other reasons. It’s pretty damn easy to just ask them “Who does BHO say his father was?” they answer The Kenyan was, then you point out the full definition of a Natural Born American Citizen.

So easy to understand, even a caveman democrat voter can understand it!

: )

Although they will deny it, throw a fit, and who knows what else.

Yes, I too found the levels of “anger, denial, acceptance, depression” mentioned in the article, to be painfully similar to my demeanor following the election of The Usurper.

I can see 2013 from my porch!!!

Calgon, take me away!
(if anyone gets that, I know how old you are!)

So, you post on a board that basically has a mission of casting a fog over the birth certificate issue

I checked out their group and it seems that their mission is the complete opposite of that. According to the site, their "mission is to strike sunlight on the dark miasma of hatred, suspicion and lies that took form during the 2008 presidential election and still spreads today."

Obama should not benefit by fraud...all other things considered or not. It is a Constitutional issue.

That would have to be a really, really uniformed person. Anyone who recalls John G. Roberts swearing in Obama, then addressing Obama as “Mr. President”, is likely to doubt that you understand the Constitution better than does the Chief Justice of the United States.

And what if they don’t take your word for it, and actually go the library or bookstore and look it up? “Natural born citizen. Persons who are born within the jurisdiction of a national government, i.e. in its territorial limits, or those born of citizens temporarily residing abroad.” — /Black’s Law Dictionary/, Sixth edition.

Or the traitor stage.

Wrong.
1. Trump doesn’t speak for me, nor does he speak for millions (yes, that’s right) of other “birthers” on other issues important to conservatives. Presuming he was earnest in his apparent desire to get to the bottom of the LFBC issue, he has my grudging respect on that issue ALONE. On others, not so much.
2. There is little consensus among “birthers” regarding a Kenyan birthplace for “Obama” and that birthplace is irrelevant anyway if “Obama” and his FORGED Long Form Birth Certificate are to be believed and his father really is Barack Obama Sr., since his putative daddy’s having been a subject of Great Britain would have conferred dual citizenship upon Barry and automatically disqualified him from the presidency anyway (okay, now you can launch into your lame tripe about this being a “crackpot theory”).

Bottom line, this dude’s entire life narrative is a steaming pile of bullpucky, and for you and others to even attempt at every turn to run interference and/or ridicule the honest efforts of concerned citizens attempting to get to the bottom of this putrescent mystery isn’t just beneath contempt, it’s downright traitorous. For shame.

If only a hot, soothing bath would do the trick! Sadly, it is the Republic that is taking a “bath” in the Marxist-driven destruction being visited upon the country by this fraud and his minions.
:(

If not you, who? If not now, when?

Calgon, take me away

"Calgon, take me away" became the catchphrase for stressed-out people everywhere during an advertising blitz for the bath products in the 1970s and 1980s. I have faith that this fraud will be exposed before Labor Day. Keep praying. I'm on the prayer list with you praying. :)

I’ve discussed the issue with family members who argue from the position that even if there are questions about Obama’s eligibility it’s best not to go down that road because the consequences of the suspicions being proven correct would be catastrophic. What’s done is done. I get the sense they feel rather heroic for having arrived at such a sophisticated, enlightened view of the matter.

My description of what occurred is not “wrong”. While it may not apply to you personally, it is an honest representation of what actually happened. Freeper/birthers outed themselves by prioritizing birtherism over conservatism. Go archive hunting. Do a Trump search. Plenty of posters offering full support for his presidential run only because of the BC issue. When others tried to point out his lack of conservatism, many simply didn't care. Their birther obsession trumped their conservatism.

So, despite all the so-called graphics experts, the evidence that Obama was born somewhere other than Hawaii is nonexistent. And since Free Republic is dedicated to discussions of conservative politics, WND’s latest graphics expert doesn't alter the relevant political facts. Obama is currently president and will likely be the Dem party nominee. His legacy may ultimately be the modern era president to finally drive a stake through the heart of Keynesianism. The preoccupation with layering and kerning is an obsessive compulsive disorder that shouldn't be part of a serious discussion of conservatism.

And birthers so concerned about the motives of the people who post disparaging comments on these threads are rarely as cynical about the people pimping birtherism. I don't have a book or website I'm trying to promote...

Quote from the article.

"In Trotter's herd theories the assertion is made that the instinct to be part of the herd is stronger than self-preservation. Further, if a member of the herd is perceived to be a threat to the herd, the herd will react to destroy that herd member faster than the herd would respond to a threat from the outside.

Far be it that a group of Democrats would lie about their purpose. Don't you know that Socialism is to make a better world for the common man? Tovarich Stalin told us so.

For a more accurate assessment of the denizens of fogbow you should watch that video which names the real names of their members, and explains what crappy and lunatic people they are; Disbarred Lawyers, criminals, nuts, kooks, loons, fanatics, yeah, they are real upstanding people over there. It is telling that you see no fault in them.
