Seems like the flexible Chicago Machine template for exploiting the minority vote -where Obama/Jarrett/Rezko profited from government projects while South Side blacks they promised new apartments got crumbling, unsafe slums instead- was (predictably) scaled-up to the national level for Obamanomics: over-promise, under-deliver, and take real good care of all your fellow racketeers in the process.

Now that the False Messiah has blown trillion$ of the next two generation's money on would-be economic stimuli, myriad bailouts, and other misguided largesse, again crony-capitalist backers like GE and Jeffrey Immelt are doing just great while impressionable plebes of all sorts who pinned their future on hopenchange find themselves facing-down almost 10% unemployment while hanging by a thread economically.

Indeed, Obama has almost succeeded in transforming a large section of the US middle class into entitlement-addicted serfs with no home equity and little optimism... just the way he likes 'em. But it's American blacks who have really been taking the brunt of it, and it appears that for the first time in his cosseted, auto-pilot political career, Barack Obama might be held responsible for actual results... and they are crap. 

Millions hoodwinked by the MSM in 2008 are also experiencing the dawning realization that George W Bush was not the cause of the mortgage crisis, as federally-mandated lending to unqualified individuals based upon social/racial criteria was clearly what set the trap that devoured so much of American blacks' wealth... this a creation of fiscally reckless congressional Democrats like Barney Frank and Chris Dodd

And as we all decried unemployment edging-up "unexpectedly" to 9.2% nationally for July, consider that black unemployment is at a ghastly 16.2% (!)  Add in those who've given up looking for work and we are talking more like 25+% black unemployed in the US today. But it can always get worse... Detroit admits to having over 30% of blacks seeking a job, plus the quitters and it's over 50%...

By 2009, the median net worth for white households had fallen 24 percent to $97,860; the median net worth for black households had fallen 83 percent to $2,170, according to the institute.

Austin described the wealth gap this way: “In 2009, for every dollar of wealth the average white household had, black households only had two cents.”

Austin thinks more black people than ever before could fall out of the middle class because the unemployment rate for college-educated blacks recently peaked and blacks are overrepresented in state and local government jobs. Those are jobs that are being eliminated because of massive budget shortfalls.

Since the end of the recession, which lasted from 2007 to 2009, the overall unemployment rate has fallen from 9.4 to 9.1 percent, while the black unemployment rate has risen from 14.7 to 16.2 percent, according to the Department of Labor. Last April, black male unemployment hit the highest rate since the government began keeping track in 1972. Only 56.9 percent of black men over 20 were working, compared with 68.1 percent of white men.

Even college-educated blacks fared worse than their white counterparts in the recession. In 2007, unemployment for college-educated whites was 1.8 percent; for college-educated blacks it was 2.7 percent. Now, the college-educated unemployment rate is 3.9 percent for whites and 7 percent for blacks.

Nearly 8 percent of African Americans who bought homes from 2005 to 2008 have lost them to foreclosure, compared with 4.5 percent of whites, according to an estimate by the Center for Responsible Lending.

Some see a bitter irony in soaring black unemployment and the decline of the black middle class on the watch of the first black president...

Beside feeling that irony, hopefully many of the 95+% of black folks who voted for Obama will also come to realize that if you blindly back a politician based on his skin color without any real due diligence or balanced consideration of alternatives, all you do is set yourself up to be used: they tell you what you want to hear and you're putty in their hands... and don't expect any gratitude from these populist con-artists, either.

Obama's big promises? lol- that was all Bovine Scatology, my friends. Assuming he ever wanted to help anybody but himself from the start, the man obviously lacks the management skill-set to deliver... as we are all so painfully experiencing together now.

The sad truth is that Barack Obama has heavily damaged black America in three ways: he's taken away much of their hard-won financial independence.... he's poisoned race relations with a totally unneeded, outdated, and vengeful victimhood narrative... and he's crushed the hopes and dreams of millions of African Americans by exposing himself -America's First Black President- as an embittered incompetent that's simply in way, way over his head.

Just how big is Obama's stimulus package? Well for one, it has doubled the size of the House of Representatives, according to recovery.gov. TARP funds were distributed to 440 congressional districts that do not exist.

According to data retrieved from recovery.gov, nearly $6.4 billion was used to “create or save” just under 30,000 jobs in these phantom congressional districts–almost $225,000 per job. The web site operates on an $84 million budget and is tasked with monitoring the distribution of the $787 billion stimulus package passed by Congress–which, for the record, counts 435 members–in early 2009...

I regretfully admit I have had a change of heart regarding race and I can trace this change exactly to the current administration even though I was convinced his election should help bring us together he is doing everything possible to push us apart. No amount of positive thinking can erase in my mind what I see happening every day.

As one who voted for Alan Keyes (twice), admired many blacks, albeit conservative blacks, I am now firmly convinced, after seeing what this administration is doing to this country and what black run cities look like, that something is seriously wrong with that culture and unless we put the PC crap aside and admit it, it will only get worse.

We have a new growing civil war in this country and while at this time it is simply a war of very strong words and a government which is via laws and regulations attacking the white majority in this country, I foresee a time when this will no longer be just a cold war.

I cannot sit on the sidelines while filth like E. Holder is using the DOJ to protect his people while at the same time going after MY people.

Prior to this administration I would have never used the MY people reference as I am just an American but now I see that hyphenated Americans are the protected class.

Those who would divide us for political gain are winning and I am not sure they have not won an irreversible battle.

Thanks to the woman killer T. Kennedy, we have an immigration policy deliberately designed to rapidly increase the non-white mix in this country filling us with millions who not only cannot immediately contribute but are a drain on society. In one of the printing facilities I was responsible for, we had immigrants who did not even know how to use a toilet. Thanks T. Kennedy may you never rest in peace.

Let's not drink the Republican/RINO Koolaid. Getting every poor minority (including illegal aliens or their citizen relatives) a subprime home-loan was also a major goal of ‘compassionate conservatism’, and the disasterous GWB initiatives below were done with a Republican controlled congress.

As you know in the great Republican mythology book GWB and McCain both fought against those Democrat affordable Housing policies of Bush's but Carter, Clinton and Frank and his own Republican congress all ganged up on him and made him give those affordable housing speeches after apparently threatening him with blackmail, maybe they told him they had Dan Rather's National Guard memo, which turned out to be fake.

I used to defend GWB more than I do now. If I still thought like that, I would see lots of posts on FR that remind us that he warned about Fannie and Freddie. These posts ignore the fact that he talked out of of both sides of his mouth on Fannie/Freddie.

His defenders always find his warning statements, and ignore the fact that he pushed "minority ownership" at the same time. Bush told US banks to accept the Matricula Consular card, when Mexican banks did not accept it.
