Minnesota Republican Rep. Michele Bachmann released a letter Wednesday from the House Attending Physicians office, confirming that Bachmann suffers infrequently from migraines with aura, and that she can control them well with the use of sumatriptan and odansetron, two commonly used therapies to treat the chronic headaches.
The letters release comes after The Daily Caller reported late Monday that Bachmann has been hospitalized on at least three occasions due to the headaches. Three people who have worked closely with Bachmann told TheDC migraines regularly debilitate her for periods up to several days.
You have a well-established diagnosis of migraine headaches with aura for which you have had extensive evaluation by both my office and by a board certified consulting neurologist. Your evaluation has entailed detailed labwork and brain scans all of which are normal, the July 20 letter from Dr. Brian Monahan says.
You are overall in good general health, Monahan adds.

WITCH!
She turned me into a newt!
....... I got better
People are such as***.
Better this than the monumental headache that we have in the White House now. I’ll take her over the fraudulent pretender now occupying that position any day.
Most dimocrat's would most likely go to jail if they did.
Little birds tell me Romney’s smear machine is behind this hit piece.
Certainly smells like a typical Romney move.
OK, now waiting for Newt to get better...
Is this medication that she needs to take daily?
I get aura without migraines. It begins with a “hole” in my vision that lasts for 5 minutes, then the “hole” fradually moves across my line of vision until it transforms into zig zag lights that travels to the side of my vision. They last all of 20 minutes and except for the first 5 minutes when my central vision is impaired, I can still function. I’ve gotten them when I was driving, and was able to keep driving without any problem. There is no pain associated with them, yet the eye doctor diagnosed it as optical migraines. I have suffered with the painful types years ago, but they were never accompanied with the aura. The auras began when I was about 30 and I’m now 63.
Seems like a contradiction...
The haters will be here shortly!
shame she couldn’t have gotten a dig in there about obama not releasing jack concerning his medical records. or any records at all.
So she controls her migraines with Imitrex. It comes in an autoinjector. It is a vasoconstrictor. And then she has anti-nausea medicine. Nausea is a common side effect of a migraine.
And the reason she had to be hospitalized would have been to administer the same kind of drugs prior to getting them under control using the Imitrex.
Big whoop.
Next subject, please.
Not really. That’s the way prophylaxis works.
Roger.
I posted this on another thread. I’ll share it here too.
For me, this puts the issue to rest. She knows her migraine triggers. She takes meds to abort the migraines. She does not take preventative meds, which tells me, as a migraine sufferer, ... her migraines DO NOT seriously affect her ability to function.
If I was her, I wouldn’t have released anything until Obama released all his stuff (medical, educational, etc.).
